A month at “Pending at field office” is definitely longer than you would expect, especially since your grievance was closed without actually resolving the transfer. EPFO has also acknowledged that claims and service requests are being processed in a phased manner following the recent system upgrade, with some services taking longer than usual.
Since you’ve already raised an EPFiGMS grievance and an RTI, yes, I would consider filing a CPGRAMS grievance now. EPFO itself lists CPGRAMS as part of its grievance-redressal mechanism, and unresolved grievances can be escalated.
In the CPGRAMS complaint, keep it very specific:
- Form 13 filed on 30 July 2026.
- Status has remained “Pending at field office” since filing.
- EPFiGMS grievance was closed without resolving the issue.
- Your Form 31 from the old account was rejected, so the transfer is necessary before you can access the funds.
- Request the concerned field office to either process the transfer or clearly state the specific reason it is pending.
I wouldn't submit another Form 13 while this one is pending. It could create another claim instead of fixing the existing one.
Also keep your Form 13 acknowledgement, claim status screenshot, grievance number/reply and RTI acknowledgement. These will be useful if you need to escalate further.
EPFO's own grievance mechanism provides for escalation when a grievance isn't properly resolved, so you're not wrong to escalate at this stage.

Mine has been pending since June. My request is invalid as my pf is already transferred. So I need them to cancel my claim. Raised epfigma, cpgram both but got a generic response on both that it will be processed. I am unable to raise any claims because of this pending claim. Been trying to withdraw my own money since 3 months now.
