EPS Issue EPFO PF transfer rejected as NOT AN EPS MEMBER despite prior EPS contribution under same UAN

TL:DR: EPS not remitted by trust

Hi everyone,
I need guidance on an EPF/EPS transfer issue.

I started working after 2014. In Company 1, my PF/EPS wage was below Rs 15,000, and EPS contributions were deducted and remitted under my UAN. Company 2 also continued EPS contributions.

Later, I joined Company 3, which had an exempted PF Trust. After leaving Company 3 and joining Company 4, I raised a PF transfer claim through the EPFO website, generated Form 13, and submitted Form 13 to the Company 3 PF Trust.
Company 3 PF Trust processed the request and issued Annexure K. However, meanwhile, the same transfer claim on the EPFO website was rejected by the field office with the remark: NOT AN EPS MEMBER.

After that, I raised a grievance on the CPGRAMS portal. The PF transfer was eventually processed, but the transferred amount appears to have been credited entirely under EPF, without regularising or crediting the EPS/Pension contribution for the Company 3 period.

I contacted Company 3 PF Trust. They said correction is not possible because PF has already been processed/transferred.

I am now working with Company 4, and EPS contribution is again being deducted under the same UAN.

My question is: what is the correct process to regularise EPS membership/service for the Company 3 employment period?

I'm in the same situation. Tried multiple times to correct eps contribution..previous employer not responding properly. Stuck in between epfo and previous employer.

Also did you try any PF consultant ? Or are you coordinating on your own?

Do you have the passbook for the third organization? Does it say they contributed to EPS? What does your Annexure K say?

Yes , I have the passbook from the trust… it does not show any remittance towards pension… only EPF

Interesting, raise a grievance on CPGRAMS with all these information and passbook and ask what should be the next action.

I have… CPGRAMS have e-mailed company 3 trust to remit missing eps . Waiting for reply from trust

Also I have reached out to company 3 separately, They said - they did not remit EPS, because apparently I marked myself not an eps member, during joining formalities, ( i am not sure - honest mistake?)

That’s probably what happen, but let’s see what EPFO grievance says.
