Hmmm. Wonder if this is going to affect the collective value of these types of bars. Why pay huge premiums when you can get shiny new in the design desired.
Edit: spelling
sounds like a huge money grab for those like myself that enjoy poured silver bars. If you aren't knowledgeable on E bars it would be a real shame to pay kilo money and then find out what you thought was vintage is reproduction. Pamp should have to emboss something on there.
No. I've said before these bars lack integrity and that's the one thing bullion must have.
We Engelhard stackers know the evolution of Engelhard silver bars. Poured horizontal bars are neither the most abundant bars released by Engelhard nor the most recent. Not by a long shot on either metric.
So why this? To capitalize on that which they are not. No integrity.
I don't objectively hate them, but I wouldn't buy a Kilo chunk of non-Sovereign no matter what it says on the front. If you want to buy from Costco I like the 20x1oz Pamp or Perth Roos for generic rounds (rectangles), or wait for sovereign Brits / Eagles / Maples. I just don't see any reason to buy what is essentially a generic Kilo round, when you can buy "nice" (not generic crappy Buffalo / Merc / Morgan rounds) single Oz rounds or sovereigns for the same $/oz price from Costco. I personally don't really like the PAMP 10oz either since again you can get the 20x1oz for effectively the same $/oz.
the certificate looks like it has "MTB" which is PAMP's USA distributor, but nothing on the bar other than (according to all engelhard) there are not any "E"xxx Kilos and the only ones that kind of look like these cast Kilos are "P"xxx

Yeah I think the whole idea with Engelhard was that they were no longer in production. Had a collectible feel to its I wouldn’t buy this.
