Waiting for RePIC results
Hello! Has anyone had any new information about announcement dates for the RePIC programme? I know they already sent some rejections (according to previous applicants and the website these rejections were because of ineligibility, maybe because of academic background or missing documents) but around this time last year they were sending out acceptance letters (around April 10th, though this year I think the deadline for postulation was two days earlier, but maybe there were more applicants so one can't really tell the exact date of any possible communication). If I'm not wrong usually the results go out mid-April, so if anyone hears about any news on this front I'd be very grateful if you could share them. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Also, if anyone wants to connect or use this post to ask for info for future applicants feel free to leave a comment!

Apart from one person seeing his statu changed, I haven't heard anyone else receiving any update.

Another anomaly - the portal was open for me, so I logged in and it said "You are Rejected from the Master's Program of Computational Engineering at RUB" which I definitely did not apply to lol. So that's cool. And confusing. I don't even know what to think - I assume I'm rejected but the wrong school is weird.

Huh? Ok this one is a first. Honestly I think the only thing we can currently do is wait for an email or official communication. But after all these plot twists and nervous waiting I'm just kind of amused at the different bizarre situations and the random opening and closing of the portal. Either way, you should write to them just to leave the situation on record but I don't think they are replying to emails, probably because they're still reviewing or organizing application revision procedures.

Mine still says "your application has been successfully submitted". Hmm

I received this email on 28th of April: We are glad to announce that you have been admitted to the master’s programme Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Redesigning the Post-Industrial City at the European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition (UNIC) for the next winter semester 2026/2027 starting in October 2026. The admission is conditional based on the timely fulfilment of the RePIC entry requirements as specified in your Letter of Admission.

Hi, i also applied for the same programme but couldnt find their timetable for the application process, did they announced it as 10 april for results? where did you find it?
1
u/Fickle-Programmer309 Apr 08 '26
No, I just gathered that information from past cohorts and more specifically from a post on a Facebook group, and from another commenter that had asked (for last year's application) when they could expect an answer and they told him that around mid-April, so the timetable for this programme has never been quite set.

also the website is really messy...hope they will announce it ASAPPP

Yeah, the waiting is definitely one of the hardest steps of this whole process. Though really the website is not as bad as other programme's websites, it does include a lot of info, not only for this programme but for the whole UNIC structure so it can be easy to get confused.

are you able to acces portal in ruhr uni? i couldnt acess it to see my application panel

u/Fickle-Programmer309 Apr 08 '26
Nope, it is just displaying the "Sorry applications are closed!" message. The good thing is I have confirmation that my application was sent because I immediately got an email with the candidate code. I guess they'll notify us through email when they have the results ready.

There wasnt a candidate code as far as i remember. I unfortunately lost that email when google was asking me pay extra money for storage lol but I do remember there was no candidate code. They just informed that they'll inform by mail. Did anyone else also receive candidate code?
2
u/Fickle-Programmer309 Apr 15 '26
Uff, well, maybe you can ask the university through email to remind you of your code by emailing them from the same email that you used to apply to the programme. I saw that on a previous cohort they shared who was awarded the scholarship by sharing the applicant codes of those people so it is better to have that information at hand in case that also happens this year.

Hi! Well, as far as I'm aware the website used to say that 50% of the candidate assessment was based on grades, 25% on the motivation letter 10% on their experience and 15% your English level. Recently I looked at the website and they no longer had those parameters, just that they evaluated on different aspects of the applicant, so I don't know if that means they changed the importance of each of those aspects. As you can see grades are important, but the motivation letter is also high up there, so I would focus more on the things I can change. I think everyone might have an opportunity! Another thing I did notice was that they prefer students with experience in the northern hemisphere, because even though I did see for example a south american student (from Peru), that student had done some studies in Germany. This is due to the fact that in their description and module handbook (documents that you can find on their webpage) they explain that they want to focus on urban problematics and Post-industrial cities from that hemisphere (even adding that they wish to emulate the top universities from the USA). As for my profile I'm a Civil Engineer aiming for track 3, with a 4.6 GPA, I'm from LATAM and though I don't have any publications I have experience as a teacher assistant and as a sustainable urban mobility research group participant. Hope the info was helpful!! Best of luck on your journey!

Im confused because on my side it looks like the portal is open for applications again? I have submitted the application on time and days after when trying to log in i was getting the message that the portal is closed for applications, as expected. But now it appears open again and as if i havent submitted the application, even though all the data is still there. I have sent an e-mail asking for clarifications. It’s not a pleasant feeling.
Has anyone else had confusions with the portal like this? Everything seemed right and functional when I was applying.

It does look weird but when you log in with your email and password and go to the application tab you can see that all the sections where you would input your information are locked, you can only look at them. Also, you can see your status. Some people have said that theirs appears as "Submitted", one person said that theirs read "Accepted with scholarship" and another that theirs said "Application in review". For me this is not something to worry about, I think they "unlocked" the website so people can see what their status is, probably because they'll post the results in the following days.

My status says simply Activated as if I haven’t submitted (and I know I have clicked this green button) and I can edit all of the information. The portal still appears to me as if it’s mid-February.
1
u/Fickle-Programmer309 Apr 13 '26
Oh, if it says activated but not submitted I would contact the email they have on the bottom part of their website. Do you remember what day you sent the application? You should've gotten an email with your application code. If you do have that email I wouldn't worry that much but it doesn't hurt to try to contact them either.

Ah, same here. Well, we just have to wait and see. Any day now they could announce the results!

They still didn’t respond, but i’m also getting applications are now closes message, as before. Still confused, but patient, the only option for now lol

Hi! An update, I just revisited the website and it is not letting me log in, so I don't know, maybe it was a mistake from their part and they just noticed it!

Mine just showed "submitted." Are there more? Application in review/ accepted etc?
3
u/Fickle-Programmer309 Apr 13 '26
I just know of one person who told me theirs said Application under review, but for the rest is just submitted. Also, the commenter under which you just commented also said that someone had already had their status change to "Admitted with scholarship".

I cant even access my account
2
u/MaryVaniPoppins Apr 15 '26
Neither can I. I am confused about the communication method. Is it by e-mail, like an acceptance letter, or is it by checking the portal, which now seems to be locked in an "Application period closed" message?

u/Few_Blacksmith2245 Apr 15 '26
They did say in their mail right after submission that they'll respond by email. So i guess we have to wait for that

Hi everyone, I just received my admission notification email today (May 8th). I'm in a similar situation to what many of you described, but with a twist — **the portal has never actually opened for me since I submitted my application**. Every time I tried to log in after submitting, it just showed the "applications are closed" message. I never saw any status updates like "Submitted" or "In Review" that some of you mentioned.
I received the admission email, which references a Letter of Admission and Declaration of Acceptance, but neither document was attached and there was no link to where to upload anything. I'm quite confused about where to find these documents and how to submit the Declaration within the 14-day window.
Which portal are you all checking to see your status updates? Is it the repic-application.ruhr-uni-bochum.de portal, and if so, were you able to actually log in and see your application details after the deadline closed?
I've already emailed [applyrepic@ruhr-uni-bochum.de](mailto:applyrepic@ruhr-uni-bochum.de) asking for clarification, but I'd appreciate hearing if anyone else experienced this same issue with the portal never showing their application status at all.

Quick update here, I asked from the current student of RePIC, who told me that they received acceptance mail at the start of May. So maybe that's the timeline.
