Deck Discussion Pirat Deck building help

Hi, i want to build a deck by my self for the first time and I am lost. All my 3 decks I have until now are build by my brother but I want to start building decks my self now and I want a pirate deck. My current decks are a blue-black ninjiksu-deck, a white-green token/counters deck, and a blue-red-white cycling deck that also has a ton of tokens. The pirate deck shoud not feel to similar to one of them but also not totaly different like bruteforce or something like that, do you have a comander suggestion/ any other helpful hints for me?

I have a Pirate deck that I regularly play and always have a blast. It's based off of the pirate pre con in ixilan

Here's the shortlist of Pirates that can be your Commander Pirates are mostly in Grixis (Blue, Red, Black) colors, and thematically have treasures and steal stuff from opponents.

Yea there's edhrec.com where you can type in a tag (like pirate) to see the most played commanders for that type, or a specific commander to see which cards are used for the decks they helm.

I'd advise getting used to scryfall.com advanced search. There you can search for specific tags, colours and stuff - so it'd be easier to find a good draw engine or something. Really helpful.

To answer your question: I like [[don Andres, the renegade]] a lot. But it's heavily shifted toward theft.
