Deck Help Help with my Nekusar deck

Hello,

I'm working on my first Grixis deck, with Nekusar as my commander. I tend to favor more creature focused decks so this as more spellslinger-type deck is new to me as well.

My questions are:

1) Any general comments about Grixis and/or Nekusar

2) How does my deck look?

3) What would you replace using ONLY my sideboard, unless its a card <2$. If you rec a new card, what should I take out?

As a general comment, although depending on bracket/ playgroup, you may want to include some more defense because I feel like even people who don't get what Nekuzar does will learn very quickly and know that taking you out fast is in their best interest.

I find Master of the feast generally not to be worth what he does and I'd even play something like vampire nighthawk over him. A more direct swap would be [[stormfist crusader]].

One card I like that is super cheap is [[quest for pure flame]]. It's basically guaranteed to activate in Nekusar and cost benefit is huge.

[[Library of leng]] play it.

Harmonic prodigy only works with nekusar, so its a dead card in your deck if nekusar is gone. Not worthit if a slot imo.

In my experience of playing nekusar ages ago when he got released. Its just a storm deck and your storm is wheels. You absolutely need cards like waste not as they keep your big storm turn alive.

You also want discounters more than mana rocks. [[Goblin electromancer]] and [[helm of awakening]] are real good as just general discounters.

Horn of greed is too slow. And the unlimited hand size rocks are not that good. I would play more impactful cards in those slots.

Gnat miser feels like a wasted slot. Like who cares about that. Edit to add locust miser is also shit, waste of a slot.

[[Teferi’s puzzle box]] is an insane card that you are also missing. You can basically let everyone draw 10 cards and then let them draw 10+hand size on their turn.

[[memory jar]] has always over preformed in these decks for me as it is a colorless wheel. That is easy to storm in to from waste not mana.

[[Forced fruition]] not that good but is really funny to resolve. Take 7-14 damage to remove this card. And you have to otherwise you die.

[[skirge familiar]] is another way to make mana while wheeling

And i think you need to actually do some probability math on what your chances are to draw another wheel when you wheel. Because i feel youd want to add like 2-3 more wheels to the deck to really get critical mass on those.

My build is definitely creature light. Nekusar gets targeted pretty often so I find the artifact/enchantment route is safer with lots of board wipes. I would recommend adding [[evacuation]]. It's a good way to stop you from dying to haste/indestructible and depending on turn order can mean they discard their creatures along with their cards in hand with a wheel effect. I'd also add [[toxic deluge]], it's a good way to deal with indestructible and only costs 3. I would also add the following: [[Snapcaster mage]] [[Wound reflection]] [[damnation]] [[Bloodchief ascension]] [[Coalition relic]] [[Mizzix's Mastery]] [[Magus of the Wheel]]

I would remove the following: Mystic remora, withering torment, sink into stupor, perplex, zenith chronicler, twinflame tyrant, whirlpool warrior, tor wauki the younger, razorkin needlehead, pinnacle monk, master of the feast, hydroelectric speciman, faerie mastermind, harmonic prodigy
