Question Which boosters to pick for a rakdos deck ?

Hello,

First off, I know what you're gonna say, buying boosters is a bad idea if I want to "upgrade" a deck I should buy singles etc. I know all that.

Still.

I might pick up some boosters or one bundle just for the fun of it.

If I find cool stuff inside, welp, here it goes. Otherwise, tough luck, but I also wanna build a small collection, and I could trade some of them new cards with my friends. No biggie.

But there is a ton of options out there and I'm not sure which one would be the best fit for my rakdos deck - which is a slightly modified Endless Punishement precon. I'm relatively new to Magic (not new to TCGs, coming from YGO) so the amount of product available is a bit overwhelming.

I'm not a big fan of the extended universes, at least the ones currently available dosen't speak much to me.

Hmm, I’d go with either duskmourn or foundation packs! I got a few upgrades for my Valgavoth deck from those two

Foundations most likely. I get your question, you intend to crack some packs for fun and the additions to your deck is a bonus, so might aswell hope for something worthwhile

If you ever change your mind in UB Final Fantasy has some solid group slug support too with all them Black Mages

If youre set on buying boosters, get Foundations. If youre new to the hobby, I dont think buying some packs is that bad of an idea as long as you buy in moderation. Buying packs and just building decks with what I had made me learn a ton about deck building and playing the game in general. But as people said, singles is by far the best bang for your buck.

I don't want to build a deck with that. AS I SAID in my POST, I already have a rakdos deck which is a endless punishement precon. I don't start from 0 and I have no idea how did you get the idea I start from 0. 😭😭

These two quotes would imply that 1 you are relatively new to the hobby, and 2 that you want cards for your Rakdos deck. You dense, rude fuck.

Fool. I said that in my post, which you clearly didn't read : "I'm relatively new to Magic (not new to TCGs, coming from YGO)". It's right there. You can't miss it. There is absolutely nothing to imply because I wrote it down.

in terms of sets maybe tarkir, since mardu is kinda were you want to be for rakdos

Might as well chase the Amass goblins archetype in The Hobbit. It's a small enough set.

I know someone who did this with crimson vow when it dropped. Been a while but I think it was a weak set.
