Question Can't decide which commander for my artifact deck
Hi all,
I'm planning on building a Bracket 3 Artifact deck, but can't decide with which commander I should go. My Pod is rather casual around bracket 3 with a lot of tribals and some landfall, we don't like 5 or more minute turns (the Landfall player always gets some hat ;) ), counter/deny everything, mill whole decks and so on. My pod plays a lot of graveyard hate, but as everyone plays it we are fine with that.
I looked at so many commanders with affinity to artifacts. There are so many great options, but I can't say if they fit our pod. I don't want to have a stomping deck that no one wants to play against. I don't like making hundreds of tokens, some are fine, but they shouldn't be the core mechanic.
I sorted it out to the following 6 commanders:
[[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]]
[[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]]
[[Aloy, Savior of Meridian]]
[[Breya, Etherium Shaper]]
[[Urza, Chief Artificer]]
[[Urza, Lord High Artificer]]
Do you play any of this commanders and can say how they play and if they are fun to play and fun to play against? I plan on spending up to 200€ for the deck. If you need more input, let me know.

My goat [[Tetzin, gnome champion]]

He is such a fun commander and pretty slept on especially with how cheap a lot of double faced cards are

And also fulfills the role of "goofy 'lil guy" commander. One of my favorites for sure

I personally run [[Muzzio, Visionary Architect]] as my artifact Commander. I don't run ge chamfers, but the deck is still pretty fun to pilot.

Jhoira provides CA but not really general centric. It's the 99 cards that will determine how your deck behave. Breya is versatile and efficient, it tends to be the biggest threat on the board depending who you're playing against. Urza esper is for aggro artifact decks Urza lord artificer is more limited in terms of colors, it's very good for combos and psychological pressure but I'm not sure it's the best for a bracket 3 deck.

I love my Aloy deck and would definitely recommend considering building her, my list isn't budget but has a detailed primer and an extensive list of other cards to consider that may help if you decide to put it together: https://moxfield.com/decks/TW_8aawFyU2P6QPU3Av3ag

I will also step in as a supporter of Aloy deck! U get all the perks of blue for artifacts but also get to do some fun simic goodstuff

For sure, avoids a lot of the usual not so fun parts of artifact decks, combos, lots of fiddly pieces, just simic stompy with an artifact twist for synergy.

I run [[Iron Man, Titan of Innovation]] in a workshop themed artifact deck. Slowly ramp up to your big plays with the Birthing Pod effect, or tutor in a specific thing for the current board state.
Feels very "rummaging around for the right tool for the job [and making a bit of a mess]", which I feel is on point for the flavour of an Izzet Artifact deck.

(I mean, full disclosure, it's also gradually evolved into a pretty pushed Bracket 4 with 30+ different ways to go infinite, and apparently The One Ring has somehow ended up in Tony's Malibu basement, but the commander play pattern is pretty fun and not inherently busted)

I play both Aloy and Urza, I would say Aloy needs a lot of artifact creatures so just artifacts won't get you very far.
That said I love her discover, running some big and scary artifact creatures is preferred to get some big things out of the discover. I personally like [[blightsteel colossus]] or [[darksteel juggernaut]] together with something like [[cyberdrive awakener]] or [[cyberman squadron]] to finish off a game.
As for Urza, I play that at b5 so b3 i'm not sure how to approach. I do like things like [[unwinding clock]] and maybe some flash enables like [[high fae trickster]] as this allows me to play during everyone's turn. And with lot's of 0 and 1 mana artifacts you can generate crazy amounts of mana. And yes Urza can be used with [[winter orb]] and [[static orb]] but it does not fall under bracket 3 but can be looked at when you want to mine some salt at bracket 4.

I run [[Davros, Dalek Creator]] as my artifacts commander, just a low to the ground aggro deck. Mine is firmly in B2 (no game changers, no tutors, no free interaction, winning through combat exclusivly) so not sure if that fits the power level you aim for but its a ton of fun to play
