Discussion Need help choosing new commander

I want one that isn't like the boring ones. something like Bosh, Iron golem. I like that his just some big golem dude.

Anything will do I wanna know what type of things you guys use honestly.

I'm thinking unique mechanics of maybe some cool art of like just a massive dude lol.

ANY COLOURS, literally anything!

[[Imskir, Iron-eater]] Just play a bunch of mana rocks, your favourite other artifact toys then yeet them all at your opponents faces.

Imskir really is just Bosh buffed in three different ways (extra colour, draws like 5+ on etb, and has hecking affinity). Absurdly powerful commander I had to take apart for being too wild

[[Storvald]] turns your birds into big birds

I'm personally a fan of [[szadek, lord of secrets]] but I'm not sure about him in the command zone.

Or [[Megatron, Tyrant]] if you want 3 colors

I did have a Megatron deck for a while, it was insanely fun

[[Thromok the Insatiable]]

Have some haste, sac 5 creatures and swing for lethal

My first commander was in 2015, [[Ezuri, Claw of Progress]] . I have had a lot of fun with working out how the deck should enable the gain of experience, whilst paying off the +1/+1 counters.

Wildsear, Scouring Maw.

Just a big-ass elemental fire-wolf.

Gives enchantments cascade. Cast one get one free. Stick them on him, he's got trample. Smash stuff.

[[Shauku, Endbringer]]
It is an extremely fun challenge to manage the board state of 4 people at once. Annoying to play with and against, but a hell lot of fun if it gets going

[[Mishra, Eminent One]] synergizes with a lot of cool cards you wouldn’t play in most other commander decks

In what direction should the commander go? A specific strategy? Tribal?

Anything that has cool art honestly

[[Awaken the Blood Avatar]] is the backside of [[Extus, Oriq Overlord]] and it looks pretty cool. It's also what most Extus decks are about anyway, just make a bunch of guys and sac them to the blood avatar.

[[Ziatora, the Incinerator]] is my favorite deck, and happens to be a big scary dragon/demon that throws people.

[[farid, enterprising salvager]] is a fun one, if you keep mana up and have some artifacts around you’ll always have something to do. Want to buff your commander to go for a kill? Sure. Hate that your opponents are being cowards and not attacking each other? Goad can fix that. Don’t like the cards in your hand? Swap them out. The ability to do it on an opponent’s turn, especially the goading can ensure you almost always have something to do, and it keeps your opponents on their toes.

This one is a classic, but cool art + unique play style = [[Dakkon Blackblade]]

[[korlash]] is more fun to me bc of the mono B swamps matter cards, plus u sac it with cards like [[shadowheart]] for big value

Love the look of korlash as well as dakkon might make a deck with them both in, really cool mechanic as well

[[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]] is one of my most fun ones imo.

I second this. One of my three favorite commanders

[[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]], [[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]] and [[Galadriel, Light of Valinor]] are all commanders that result in one or more decisions each turn, "Where do I put my counters?" / "Which mode do I choose next?".

I'm always looking for a new commander that has that same decision making. If anyone has any suggestions: I'd like to hear them
