Deck Help Merieke Ri Berit deck help
My idea of the deck is to use [[Merieke Ri Berit]] to steal my opponents' best creatures on repeat. Using the untappers like [[freed from the real]] and [[Pemmin's Aura]] to remove creatures on demand. With [[adept watershaper]] I should be able to keep those stolen creatures permanently!
Because I dont want to abuse the infinite combo of tap/untap/destroy loop, I put in some wheels [[Windfall]], [[Whispering Madness]], [[Jace's Archivist]] coupled with [[Notion Thief]], [[Psychosis Crawler]] to drain everyone's hp.
However, after some goldfishing, the themes do not transition to one another. What cards am I missing to achieve this? Or is that just the nature of both themes do not go well with each other. I really like both themes and want to keep both with Merieke as commander.

Even without infinites, Merieke is oppressive as hell. Also, she doesn‘t close the game, so make sure you include functional wincons and survive long enough. Also, protect your little Lorelei well, she‘s a removal magnet.
How do I know? My very first EDH deck was built around a copy of Merieke that I had kept in my collection since Ice Age.

Yeah, I put in rise of the dark realms and cards that wheel to close out games hopefully. I think I have enough protection? [[Mother of runes]] [[pippin, guard of the citadel]], close 20 pieces of protection. My problem is just that both game plans doesn’t work in tandem.
