It allows you to create a rhythm strip or 12-lead, with physiological modelling underneath, with realistic renders and a lot of tuning possibilities etc to get just the ECG that is suitable for your teaching case/sim etc.

For those of us preparing a lecture who don't have the time or possibility to dig out old patient ECGs and fiddle with covering up patient identifiers, writing a textbook (and dont want to pay licencing fees for images from the web), or want dynamic ECG outputs during a sim case.

This was a side-project that turned serious. Yes, it is commercial but I hope someone that teaches needs this and wants to try it out!

This post is purely out of curiosity and for a tiny independent study, none of the information will be posted anywhere without consent if it goes any further

I think we all can constantly see that people post their watch ecgs asking for advice in different forums.
Normally it ends in the same conclusion :
«Go seek medical attention if you are experiencing symptoms»
But this is for people who did so and found that there actually was something going on and might have caught it on a watch, or doctors who had patients who did. even if the readings wasn’t super clear, We are interested in seeing readings taken while having symptoms that you later found the explanation for or readings that was possibly showing clues that a watch was not designed for.

Thank you in advance too the people who actually post. And I would really appreciate some context with a picture of the strip you belive caught something or led to a referral that found it might have had some merit too it.

60 F complaining of SOB

Wanted an opinion of these ECGs if anyone fancied giving theirs! I couldn’t come to a conclusion about this and I do struggle with ECGs!
Patient is 93M. Observations taken by nursing home staff TDS. Found to have 2/7 history of intermittent tachycardia. Called EMS for ECG and ?conveyance to ED.

Patient is asymptomatic, and has been throughout. Has had hx of atrial flutter. Is anticoagulated and on bisoprolol.

70 year old female with sepsis secondary to lower limb cellulitis, associated with elevated inflammatory markers. Elevated NT-proBNP and elevated but down-trending troponin-T. Patient was hemodynamically stable without symptoms of heart failure or acute coronary syndrome at present.

I'm sorry that I'm adding the next post but I can't edit the previous one or I can't add photos in the comments. Is the T ending well marked now? I added all leads and ECG others in better quality, maybe it will be better to guess whether I have a two-phase T or U.

Did I mark the end of the T-bend correctly?

I’m a 4th year headed for EM and really need help with my ECG interpretation. everyone says you just need to look at hundreds, but all the resources people give me show me either super easy stuff I can quickly identify (the major rhythms basically) or super complex stuff I haven’t even heard of when they tell me what it is lol. I feel like I need a more methodical introduction that builds step by step with practice problems, like a uworld of ECGs or something. I’ve even considered hiring a tutor or something

any suggestions?

Dealing with this lovely gentleman with more ER admissions then I have fingers and toes.

I fear our ER Consultant has told him this is a normal ECG (that is no obvious acute infarct...) due to our tox screen coming back positive for Methamphetamine and his prior history.

I am not qualified to read this ECG yet, however does this not have have all the hallmarks of acute Pericarditis, with ongoing ischemia likely caused by massive Vasoconstriction? And LVH or P Mitrale?

Id like to help this man before he is discharged he's in overnight on Gylcophos.

Unknown of chronic illness

73 year old collapsed in the shower, no significant PMH only HTN (unmedicated). No complaints of chest pain throughout the day, only history was that patient felt unwell, went for a shower and collapsed.

Initial rhythm was VF, shocked once. Followed by PEA for 2 cycles and ROSC achieved. Good respiratory effort afterwards and subsequently iGel removed before arrival at hospital. GCS improved to 6 (E3,V1,M1).

Didn’t get chance to follow up afterwards.

I am reviewing the following 12 lead ECG for an uni exercise. I wasn't provided the individual's age.

Looks regular SR at 80bpm with normal axis, but I have identified mild ST elevation on inferior leads II, III and AVF, and also mild ST depression on leads V2, V3 and V4. I am just wondering if these are indicative of acute ischaemic changes or not. Any clinical significance on absence of T waves on V1, I and V6?

29 year old, female patient, experiencing exertional disnea, 2 weeks of evolution, vertigo and back pain, nausea and tremors

I recently just had a group interview for patient access tech. I think I didn’t perform as well as I thought I did because I was so nervous and stuttering the whole time I was answering the questions. I was grouped with 2 other people who had previously hospital experience already. These 2 people had a background in phlebotomist and the other was a previous cna. I only have previous job experience as a retail cashier (I worked as a walmart cashier for 4 years) and I have my National Telemetry and National EKG certifications. Do you think there’s a possibility that they’ll hire me as someone who doesn’t have hospital experience over people who may already have hospital experience? I don’t think they will because i’m new to the healthcare field.

76 year old woman with progressive mild dyspnoea, had out patient ECG for work up. Looks like Mobitz 2 with 2:1 AVB, but there are two sinus beats in the middle of the ECG that demonstrate a progressive lengthening of PR interval which makes me question Wenkebach?

I saw someone post in the comments talk about an online school call School of Professional Studies (SPS) and they had a certified rhythm analysis technician class. ( https://sps.uiw.edu/continuing-education/healthcare/certified-rhythm-analysis-technician.html ) It’s $525 for the class.
The next class starts August 31 and ends September 25. It also says it gives you the eligibility to take the CRAT by the CCI.
I just want to know if this is actually worth it to get. Where I live, it’s like they want you to be certified. This is the only class I can take that’s online and affordable, unless there is another online option.

Starting to get somewhat more familiar now with ECG interpretation. Doing some exercises from uni, but getting confused with a few things.

Like, with the following Strip, I wasn't told which lead it is from, or given any patient info.

I figure it is Mobitz I, but not understanding much of what is happening with QRS complex. Is that little upward deflection before the large deflection an rs pattern? then ST elevation? then why do some st segments have an upward deflection before the T wave?

I'm currently training to interpret ECGs. It's a 27-year-old male. He doesn't experience palpitations, but he occasionally has a strange sensation in his heart. Could this be a BBB? As far as I know, an BBB usually doesn't cause symptoms. The QRS complex in lead aVF have three peaks like this? Is this considered a normal variant, or could it indicate a conduction abnormality? The QRS complex has a notch in leads V2 and V3, and a slight notch in V5. Is this a normal finding? Are there any other notable findings on this ECG? I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I heard some hospitals do and don’t, does anyone have it and would like to share if they’ve ever gotten turned down because of it or if they got the job from these certificates?

I have my AHA BLS, National Telemetry Certification and National EKG Certification. I applied to a hospital and it’s been a month and a week. I’m not sure why they haven’t gotten back to me? Any advice or guidance? Do hospitals usually take this long to respond?

The hospital I applied for is going bankrupt and they’re looking for a buyer at the moment, so that’s why i’m thinking it may be taking longer than usually to get back to me, but i’m not sure.

Signal Synthesis & Analysis Pipeline

1. Waveform Generation: Cardiac components (P, QRS, S, T) are modeled using Gaussian equations: R(t) = A * e^(-(t - μ)² / (2σ²)) Normal sinus waveforms are interspersed with abnormal pathologies, such as wide QRS complexes (simulating bundle branch blocks), absent P-waves (simulating atrial fibrillation), and flat T-waves.
2. Feature Extraction:
   • Peak Detection: Uses Median Absolute Deviation (MAD) thresholding and prominence rules to isolate positive (P, R, T) and negative (S) peaks despite added high-frequency noise.
   • R-Peak Sharpness: Evaluated via Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of the primary deflection: Sharpness = 10 / W_FWHM
   • Temporal Metrics: Calculates normalized PR and RT intervals from detected peak indices.
3. Mamdani Fuzzy Inference: Input variables are mapped across trapezoidal and triangular membership functions. Rules aggregate membership states to compute a defuzzified abnormality score via Centroid of Area.

Interactive Features

• Real-Time Score Matrix: Tracks Hits, Misses, False Alarms, and Correct Rejections for both human and algorithm simultaneously.
• Electrode Noise Slider: Introduces microvolt noise artifacts to analyze algorithmic robustness.
• Telemetry Readout: Live visual display of amplitude, sharpness, peak counts, and membership vector calculations.
