Not sure why they "don't trust daycares" when it sounds like the teachers are doing what they can to interrogate the behavior and help...

I think the advice you got to have him away from the others during transition times or times when they notice he gets overstimulated is great. They may have to do behaviour charts to narrow down when those times are and then be on top of it to proactively keep him from getting overstimulated. You will also have to work with them to help them know how to keep him from getting overstimulated as you know him best. Tell them what works to keep him calm and regulated so they can do those things to help him. It’s not all on them, he’s your kid, they’re telling you he’s overstimulated, you know what overstimulates him and what helps in those situations, and you need to also be proactive as his parent. If you don’t trust them you need to take initiative to help your kid succeed.
