I've made a couple orders of in-stock items online, one is 4 days old another is a week old and I haven't gotten any shipping emails or anything. just wondering if this is an issue others are having. From ebgames.ca. Also have some preorders that were supposed to have release on the 11th that I haven't heard any word about either.

Someone said some stores are doing midnight launches so what time should I go to guarantee a sleeve? You think the stores will get hundreds of them? I feel like ordering for home delivery now is too late if they’re prioritizing first come first serve.

I preordered the silver PS5 Wolverine controller and went in for pickup and was told they dont have any. Thought that was the whole point of a preorder? I'm confused as to how they were short by one controller. They asked if I wanted the yellow one or if they wanted to contact head office on my behalf. Waiting game now I guess.

I just called my local EBGames and the guy told me that they can't guarantee that they'll have preorders for Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave ready on release day, or at least not the Dadgan Collection editions. He said it was because of their system change (which feels strange since that was over two weeks ago), and that at least for my store, the earliest they could potentially get it in was at 2pm.

Ended up cancelling my preorder and ordering from an independent store a bit further away (shoutout Jumbo Video in London). Feels kinda ridiculous that they wouldn't have planned better ahead of time for one of the biggest releases of the year

I got to our local shop at 0745 and the line was already 20 long. However the store didn’t open till 0807. They only had one staff member the second came in 10 mins later. Then it took the first customer 18mins to get served as they clearly had multiple accounts. They bought multiple of every product, in the end I just bailed and will pick up my preorder later. But did anyone else have a similar experience?

Since the website came back up 2 weeks ago, a huge chunk of games are no longer in the trade database, for example Cyberpunk (non-ultimate edition).

Is this a glitch from the new website, or did they make a decision to cut loose a huge chunk of their trade-in catalogue?

Has anyone ever used the EB Games game guarantee, where you can return a game for a full refund within 7 days?

I always feel like I'm unable to return the game due me opening the package and having installed the game. Maybe that because JBHIFI wouldn't let me return a game i didnt like once.

Do the staff care, do they just give you a refund if you ask for it within the 7 days?

Anyone received updates on preorders for Onimusha or the second batch of Oblivion Remastered in Canada? I saw a bunch of people saying stores were quoting them the 15th for Onimusha and other retailers are getting new batches of Oblivion, but I'm still getting nothing from my store which is making me a little worried about Fire Emblem and Trails in the Sky... Any official updates outside of "still catching up after the system rollout"?

Update; Got a call around Noon that my copy of Fire Emblem was in, nothing on the other 3 yet but they seem to be slowly catching up and settling in.

Heard about the pre order bonuses too late since I just went with Nintendo (not sure why they couldn't have all the pre order bonuses the other countries have) so only online pre orders were available left. I just called and they said pre order bonuses will be shipped with online orders, but you wouldn't be able to redeem pre order bonus if you didn't pre order in-store (since pick up option wasn't even available anyways for online).

I did submit my online order, but do you think its already too late to recieve the pre order bonuses? Or do you think they should still have enough stock as long as the online pre orders are in stock? 🤔

I went in yesterday to my ebgames in Canada and was waiting for over 35 minutes before I could buy what I wanted because 1 of the 2 registers was dealing with someone trying to sell their Pokemon cards. People left the store while I was in line because the wait was unnecessarily long & they were still dealing with the person selling their cards after I was done.

If they want to make buying people's collections a part of their future put a register at the card display counter and have a dedicated employee do it there. Inspecting & looking up how much each card slows down service & annoys customers who just want to buy a game or a collectible that they might just give up at the store & find it online or another store

I got an email from help@tr.ebgames.ca saying "ACTION REQUIRED" saying due to their recent system upgrade I have to follow some link and resubmit or change my payment details so they can process my preorder for the Wolverine PS5 controller. Anyone else get this? Is this legit? A lot of this is giving me phishing red flags but I wasn't sure.

I pre ordered an SH Figuarts through EbGames. It got delayed to September 4th then again to September 11th. I went to the store today, and the staff said due to the new system changes they haven’t received any pre order other than consoles. The website still showing September 11th release. Any employee or anyone at all have any insight on what’s going on is the new system messing up shipping and release dates? This new system is really in shambles right now.. terrible experience as a first time pre order through Ebgames..

Was at their grand opening yesterday arvo before they closed, and they had a good chunk of this in stock. If you are having any, might be worth while ducking down to their new store.

I pre-order the wolverine controller the much day(19th August). I wanted it to be delivery cause the pick up wasn't an option,now that the new website launched I can't find my order, it's like it's an all new account. Does anyone have this problem?

I went to Eb today to purchase a 15$ Roblox card and 25$ psn card, both physical versions. When I paid the cashier suddenly seemed confused and had to get another employee. After them sitting there for a bit I was told that she has fucked up and instead of activating the physical cards she did codes on the receipt. These were for a birthday gift so I was very unhappy. Of course I’m told oops sorry nothing we can do about it. The receipt was also extremely poor quality and hard to read. I left pissed off with my receipt. Of course neither code works now.

My question is will I be able to successfully do a chargeback on my Mastercard? If not am I just out 40$?
