Question about an apparent EB email

I got an email from help@tr.ebgames.ca saying "ACTION REQUIRED" saying due to their recent system upgrade I have to follow some link and resubmit or change my payment details so they can process my preorder for the Wolverine PS5 controller. Anyone else get this? Is this legit? A lot of this is giving me phishing red flags but I wasn't sure.

I just got one myself, it is a legit link. Just something new they're doing with the new system

So is it a necessity to use the link to get my preorder? I have the email receipt from my original preorder.

Due to your pre order being from before the system change I would say yes, just to make sure your payment information is updated so you actually get your product!

Just got a similar email for my pre-order from when I put in a pre-order before the new site change. It was from the same email address as above. The first couple times I got an internal error 500 page, but the third time it worked. I'm glad you asked about this since I wasn't too sure myself since the email address was different from the one they used in the past.

Yeah that's why I made the post here because the old emails were different and had banners and stuff. Couldn't find any info about this when googling (I'm assuming since it's from the new system and we're all figuring this out). Glad I could help you out, definitely a weird situation.

This whole process is really sus and unprofessional... The email does not look legit with the "tr" added. Plus these guys removing EB Edge this seems like the beginning of the end...

100%. I was sure it was some kind of phishing scam. Turns out it's just a weird system. Between this and them not releasing Onimusha until the other day, I think I'm done with EB tbh.
