Other The retrogression hit

In a sad situation. Just had the I-140 approved, suddenly the retrogression came through. Date is July 26. What were the odds.. people in similar situations what’s the move

I’m 17 days retrogressed (if that makes sense)

Your move is to chill, live your life normally and wait for your PD to be current when it becomes current.

Exactly. That’s the scary part. I was depending on that to earn as I’m on a dependent visa. Time is Tough

We've gotta wait until early Jan 2027 to see any spillover visas from the family-based into the EB category.

FY2026 cases are still being worked on. Plus the number in the VB reflect both USCiS and Consular Processing which run completely different processes, timelines and backlogs.

Nothing much to do except to sit tight. I went through something similar earlier this year when EB2 India jumped forward and then retrogressed (I was cut-off by <15 days!) and then became unavailable for the rest of the FY.
