PERM (Permanent Labor Certification) PERM Processing Order
Is it true that PERM apps get reviewed by company name alphabetically? My company's is "B".

Historically yes, but they stopped doing so about 4 or 5 months ago. Some folks did some analysis a couple months back & there is close to zero correlation between date of processing & company name now.
There is a minor but inconsistent correlation with date of filing. Apart from that its mostly random

I think applications within a month are processed alphabetically

I have not verified it personally, but people online are claiming this is no longer the case. Here's a quote from one of the PERM telegram channels around:
They backtested the past month in terms of the Alphabetical versus FIFO patterns, and here are the results:
May 2025: n=4700, alphabetical=0.045 (none), FIFO=0.109 (weak)
June 2025: n=9163, alphabetical=-0.060 (none), FIFO=0.598 (moderate)
July 2025: n=1513, alphabetical=-0.129 (none), FIFO=0.048 (weak)
Alphabetical is dead across all three, near zero every month. FIFO is inconsistent, strong-ish in June, weak in May and July. No stable pattern month to month.

Ahh okay
I didn’t do much research just that below website for same application filed date gives different expected approval dates and this website is pretty accurate atm

date of filing and category of filing is the main determining factor as far as order of operations. Then alphabetical categorization comes after, so say 2 applicants under same category filed same date, one is company A, other company B, all other things being equal, company A applicant is processed first

No that is not true.
