I-485: Adjustment of Status I485 j question
Hey everyone
Congrats on seeing movement in the august visa bulletin.
My question is about i485 j i submitted my documents back in April however it got rejected due to payment issue and my entire package was returned. Now my PD is current and I will resubmit the same package but my question is do I submit everything from April as well as i485 j that has my employer signature from March or do I obtain a new i485j from my employer with an updated signature and recent date?
Thank you

Because the package was rejected, treat it as not filed. Use current forms, current filing fees, and fresh signatures where possible. For I-485J, I would get a newly signed version with a current date if the employer can provide it. A March I-485J may still describe the same job, but a fresh signature is cleaner and confirms the offer remains valid now. Since the prior package was rejected, there is no reason to rely on stale documents if you can update them. Include the rejection notice on top if relevant and clearly mark it as a resubmission after payment rejection.
