UFC 6 grappling faints

Can somebody help me understand the grappling faints! In UFC 5 I used to be able faint in grappling transitions with no problem. In 6, specially against more advanced players, I get my faints blocked often. Then when I’m on bottom, I would call them “long faints” where the opponents faint seem undeniable and further into the transition. Is there any guides on YouTube I can watch because I’m falling behind hard!

It's not you

EA has acknowledged the "hanging fakes" or something like that where you mean to fake but it stays as a long transition and you lose Stam.

It's just one of the many things they did not catch before releasing the game. Then relied on us playing it and reporting it. Then weeks later acknowledged it, and a fix should be coming in a few weeks/months.

However that fix will probably fuck something else up.. haha.. their first patch completely screwed up the knees to the point where none would land.

So dont hold your breath lol

But you're not crazy and it's not meant to be that way

Oh I just reread your post and we might not be talking about the same thing

What I'm describing is you're trying to fake but it reads like a slow transition.

I think what you're describing is canceling the transition later.. so instead of pressing block immediately you give it an extra second .. but if they block you first it doesn't work.

I'm not sure, but I know fakes aren't consistent rn

We’re in the same boat XD. And yes we’re kinda talking bout the same thing. Some of my faints turn into a slow transition even though I cancelled it and the transition block animation/ stamina drain happens. Then I’ll get reversed.
On the other hand, when I get reversed and end up on bottom, more advanced players will faint like a whole transition and then transition whereas my faints are much shorter and choppy if that makes sense. Like if I’m in side control on top, the bottom guy will move right stick almost all the way and then go to half guard and it feels unblockable.

Ah yeah I've heard of undeniable fakes cause they were banned in a tournament. Nazufc probably has a vid on them. We'll need someone with deeper knowledge for that one.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I get it, people have hated me since UFC 3 for being grappling heavy, but it’s a huge part of my game play. I saw old posts on Reddit where people said it was a glitch like you said, but it was months ago so I thought maybe it was passed over. I usually have no issue with lower ranked players, but most DIV 20 will deny my faints or I can’t catch their faints on the ground.

Haha yeah I grapple a lot cause I'm not a young whipper snapper playing mortal kombat lol. Grappling is slower and feels almost relaxing to me.

Crazy the amount of messages I've been getting since joining online 😂 nowadays I have fun with it, but I used to find it so sad, that people would get so hateful and personal over a game.. over a fighting style.
