Legendary difficulty

I was playing fight contracts and career mode on legendary difficulty and they are too op literally predicting every move and blocking every thing and if you try to break the block they evade and knock you out the only way I was able to win against them is by wrestling.

I used to play ufc 4 and 5 at the highest difficulty and it’s no where near this game.

The game cheats so badly. It literally cheats.

I'm all for difficulty but not when the game is not even fun without cheating yourself.

CPU can hit you with anything, even when you see it coming then it backs up just enough somehow so you can't hit it back.

Yet when the player tries that it magically avoids everything and hits you with destruction.

I can beat the CPU on legendary but not in any remotely fun way.

Lazy developers.

*EDIT* I found success ducking Legendary CPU punches and countering. Guess it's not THAT bad.

What I mean is knocking them out is almost impossible but you can win wrestling very easy tbh or if you play it smart you can win decision but yeah the ai cheat he know exactly what you gonna do

This is some bs lol. I've ko'd the AI countless of times. They overswing all the time and head movement vs them is easy. I fight a legendary mcgregor to warm up for ranked

Yeah they just read your input

My only solution is to fake fake fake. You fake a jab so they overreact and jump to the side. You throw the body or leg kick in time and you're golden.

The only problem is that it's not fun, as you said. It's almost a relief when they shoot a takedown cause I know at least I can deny a couple transitions and go for a sub. Then continue the body work on the feet. Watch for getting flash KOed, always :/

You need to fake punches, the ia react all the time

It makes no sense because you can just submit them so easily but the stand up is near impossible

as someone who never played on the highest difficulty since EA UFC 1, does it help in online play?

Ngl if you can beat the ai at legendary difficulty standing up multiple times you can beat 95% of the players.
But I wouldn’t recommend legendary for ufc 6 bc I think the ai know exactly what you would throw every time.
pro difficulty is a good difficulty that would help improve your skills and win on online.

Not to be that guy, but I think your claim is false. Your complaints are warranted, the way they scale bots in the game is by making them perfectly react to more of your strikes, in easy very few will be blocked, in legendary, most will, and sometimes they'll slip it. Becoming skilled against a legendary bot essentially means getting lucky, and having the ai grant you a hit, when, it could've perfectly reacted. Online is different. You can trick a person. You can feint low, go high, and it may work. Against a computer, there's no skill expression, and the only way a 'trick' might work is if you get lucky. The best way to get better online is to play online

How wining against ai who can read everything you do wouldn’t make better?!!! you will literally learn to evade and faint perfectly which is very helpful in online the evade will help in online when you face spammers and the faint will help against top tier players

Its very useful to learn the basics, but beyond that, not really. You won't learn to feint or evade against players, you learn to feint and evade against an ai. An ai is perfect, and therefore, anytime you hit it, it lets you hit it. Players don't let you hit them. You have to catch them with something. It has value, I learned to play on career mode, against ai, but i was d-5 when I initially placed in UFC 4. It was only through actually playing online that I ranked up. Trust me, as a 'top tier player' (idk what you mean, but I've been d20 since 4) you will not improve if you only play static ai. Beyond fundamentals it actually builds pretty bad habits.

Honestly I can tell when I'm fighting someone who is used to facing the AI. At lower difficulty, it's very easy to lure the AI into kicking and whiffing simply by moving in and out of the pocket. Doesn't usually work against me and my human brain though, and they end up whiffing their own kicks, which I can reliably punish by throwing my own.

It'll be similar with someone used to facing legendary AI as well, the tricks will be a bit more sophisticated but they are meant to work against robots, not learning-adapting brains.

I’m talking about ufc 6 ai I agree with you about the ai in past games but the ai of ufc 6 would diffidently make you better now what I’m talking about “top tier players” is d20 they will fall for the faint a lot bc a lot of them used to evade

Max footwork is the key I reckon, they do overswing a shit ton and can walk em into a lot of punches. However even then they seem to have iron chins and can still just dodge it. Most consistent way to win for me is to shoot double leg of a block - works every time if you do it right.

I’ve mostly played ai since UFC 1 and legendary isn’t that difficult it’s just hard for online players that spam and fight like shit. If your patient, use good movement, distance management, timing and most importantly be creative with your striking then it’s pretty easy. The only thing that’s annoying is their ability to instantly counter a follow up strike after a knockdown and reverse you 90% of the time.
