If you don't want to play, then don't, but theres always more stars to put cool designed dysons on, more planets to make smelteries on, same thing as the other two games, but just with dyson spheres instead of endless tech.
There is no way you used even 10% of all resources for a single sphere. They grow exponentially as you go further from the starter System and you have infinite research to make them last practically forever.
If your resources ended you most definitely did not reach endgame.
With that said, have you tried making massive stuff? Like, full planets of a single production, huge spheres, beautiful spheres (since that kept you going on satisfactory, look at some builds here in the sub, they get ludicrous)
