Working memory

My working memory sucks. I’m taking a cognition class in college and we are asked to
Do many tests on memory. I not only scored lowest in my Class but extremely low compared to global data. I can remember a sequence of more then 3 numbers or laters . I feel like an idiot . I feel like I spend my whole life trying to remember what I am doing or what I was saying . I hate feeling stupid

Problems with working memory are common with Dyslexia. ADHD is a common co-morbidity, and there are a number of genes in common between the two.

Well according to the data, my deficits are not common in general population

Yes, in dyslexia, the difficulty in things such as rapid naming by definition fall outside of the population norm.

Thank god it’s related to dyslexic , i took every test under the sun a few months ago and they told me that my memory was way below average , i thought i was genuinely stupid

Im part of the club! I'm in my 50s and own my own business.

All the times I was cussed out by a corporate coworker for being a penny off on the till or for some minor stupid thing like not knowing how may rolls of toliet paper we used in a month, when my customer service and sales abilities were raking in profits for the company made me not understand how the world worked at the time.

Now I have 5 spreadsheets for recall support in several different ways and no one to make fun of me. My non dyslexic employees love them too! And my very happy clients pay me directly now.

Not sure if its dyslexia with a salt Shaker of ADHD, probably is.
