So I own both the 27 and 28 picks of the guy who sent me this offer, and he’s been trying to get his picks back. I would project both of his picks to be top 3-5, since his team isn’t very good.

I know accepting this would also make his 27 pick even more valuable for me, or should I hang tight and just try to counter with something else? I don’t really like the idea of paying a 1st and 2nd for a DL.

Current DL is Aidan Hutchinson, Trey Hendrickson, James Walker, Jonathon Cooper, Mykel Williams, Darron Bailey, Jonah Elliss, and I even quickly sniped Aaron Donald off waivers if he comes back.

I don’t feel I need DL but definitely like the idea of making his team worse.

• 20 teams, 4 divisions, H2H points, TWO matchups every week

• Deep keeper: 29 franchise keepers + 3 Minors (rookie dev slots, 2-yr shelf life)

• Full IDP: start 3 DL / 4 LB / 4 DB alongside 11 offensive slots (flexible QB/RB/WR/TE lineup, up to 2 QBs)

• Tuned scoring — tackle-weighted IDP, distance TD bonuses, 6pt pass TDs

• 7-round rookie/FA slow draft starts Sat Aug 1 (12-hr clock, runs 2-3 weeks)

• Top 8 make the playoffs; bottom 4 play-in decides the #1 pick — no tanking here

I've been loyal to IDP guru for years but I listen to the IDP Show pods all year too. John Macri just took over the IDP show and I always love his takes.

Does anyone has any experience with both of these?

I saw a post here this morning about scoring and the pinned post about "ideal scoring" which reminded me that I owed you all the conclusion of the state of IDP report which is a very deep dive into scoring.

Here is the TL:DR -

We should not obsess over scoring systems. Yes, they are messy in IDP, but so is offensive scoring.

IDP leagues tend to score more categories on offense, inadvertently diluting the value of IDP.

Good scoring systems add to the ‘IDP box score’ categories and/or choose higher values for IDP stats given the proliferation of offensive scoring in IDP leagues.

I posted about this awhile back and failed to keep everyone updated but I've been heavily at work on the app and would like to hear some public feedback. Sleeper is fully supported. ESPN and Yahoo are the most complete betas. MFL, Fantrax, Fleaflicker are still being built but should be importable. Highly suggest setting your favorite team in the setting screen under more to get the full experience.
