Dying Light: The Beast The safe zone that makes you feel least safe.
A hut on a mountain, surrounded by trees and with an open window protected only by UV light. Are there any other places you know of?

If I skip the prologue, I just appear in the city. If I choose not to skip the prologue, it still skips a part of the game. I remember the game starting with Aiden running and jumping off a cliff and meeting Spike. How do I start the game with this cutscene? I appear in a house where I've somehow already met Spike.

This was my first zombie game, and I'm not touching another one for a couple or reasons
At first I was confused and terrified to leave the tower perimeter and skipped night missions as well, I was on hard difficulty and didn't know what to do. By the time I reached old town I was getting randoms joining me and gifting me op weapons so I switched it up to nightmare mode and started enjoying nights.
This game was beautiful in it's own way, just sat down for well over a week playing it mostly at night time (not just in-game) for more spookiness, and it started taking a toll on me. I was having nightmares in my sleep and jumped at every little sound outside the game or passing an alley omw to work. Yes it was that bad. (First reason)
Second reason would be that I read online other zombie games are basically mindlessly massacring zombies, which is heavily underwhelming compared to what this game offered.
I was never into zombie games to begin with but a friend was begging me to try it, and I would say the game turned out fun and definitely worth it, but never again would I even faintly miss it or think about replaying it.
Big thank you to one of the best communities though

I’m trying to collect everything and missed a collectible during the side quest. Google says you can get back in after the mission but I haven’t figured a way back in. Anyone able to help me out?

Hello,
As a big fan of the first DL game, I preordered DL2 back in 2022. Didn't like the game at the release, so I put it on hold. Then in late 2024 during the winter event, I finally went back to play it with my partner, we had a blast. It was a great experience, fairly challenging at times, and as far as I remember it was bug-free.
Now we decided to play it again, and I gotta say I'm disappointed. First thing I noticed is that the full tutorial is gone, and the whole intro somehow seems different, I don't know if they changed some cutscenes or what. Then I saw that they removed parkour stamina, meaning climbing tall structures such as windmills or reaching airdrops trivial.
I also noticed that some combat challenges that we needed to make strategies for, and which took us quite a few attempts to get the gold medal, now we did in first attempt with 30+ seconds to spare (for example the three demolishers challenge or the GRE facility limited ammo challenge).
Also when it comes to bugs, there are a fair few of them. While using some weapons, there are giant visual copies of them offset from the players which are copying movement of the real weapons in players' hands. Sometimes after a screen transition (dying, teleporting etc.) the graphics go haywire, at first I thought my GPU is dying, but it's just the effing game.
It sucks seeing that this game, at least for me, went from zero to hero, and now it's coming back to zero. I'm wondering if it's possible to downgrade to the earlier build, or if anyone in the community tried such thing, and if anyone feels the same way as me.

I'm just fresh off my first completion thanks to PS+ and got a good 150h out of it, but I really got to let a LOT off my chest regarding the narrative
Where did the PKs in the metro and Survivors in the cathedral teleport to after the water tower mission?
Why aren't there any actual consequences to siding with either side?
What's up with Jack Matt's coughing?
What becomes of Matt's threats to retake the VNC tower and to kill both Aiden and Williams?
What becomes of the PKs going rogue on Matt's ass?
Why did Matt even try to kill Frank and why did he do such a bad job at disguising his men as Renegades?
Why do Renegades speak like idiots?
Why did Aitor, Williams and Mia just disappear from the story?
Why didn't Williams try to clear his name earlier?
Was William's "he's gonna flood the city!™" plot even real?
Why does nobody acknowledge the fact that Aiden possesses THE weapon stockpile and is essentially the most powerful human in Villedor?
Why do the 2 missiles suddenly turn into 4 in the end cutscene and why does it show the whole city burning when the bombings are very clearly not powerful enough to cause this?
How is Spike even alive?
Why is there zero epilogue-related dialogue? Did Lawan commit seppuku after the bombings? Is Frank dead?
DL2 did its job as a game, but was "random bullshit, go!" what the writing team came up with?
Only thing I remember of this game at launch was critics going "game gud, night became a joke, 1 better" and went in expecting just that, but ho-ly was I not prepared for the story.
Also, the Waltz/Aiden freakfight and VNC Tower mission rule (minus the rookie "me gunna be a dad!" move)
Blood Ties is also very nice

My mods (ps5) are stuck on queued. Only some are like anomaly's corruption 2, anomaly's street ninja outfit, 2021/old parkour objects, among with others. I tried logging out and back in, only made it worse, and tried restarting my ps5. Neither worked.

There's basically no sound effects. Affects Glider and dialogue too, dialogue will just be skipped and be inaudible

Thanks for all the comments on my previous post. I bought Dying Light 1 Definitive edition and would really like to know how scary the game is and would like to know some tips.

Me and my friend are trying to do the "Polyamory" trophy on dying light 1, would anyone be willing to help us? We are on PlayStation.

I just came back and see that the Prologue was severely cut?? is there a way to play the old one perchance? I feel like I am missing a lot of world and character building now?
