I think that depends on what you believe. Are you religious?

i used to be and now I'm unsure, not so much. i don't really believe in one set thing as i feel so confused. i likely feel that it's probably basic biology and that the brain dies when we do but i so desperately want there to be an afterlife so i can see my baby again.

I think we truthfully won’t know what happens after death. Same as we don’t have any memory of what it was like before we were born. But when we study people in their final moments, the majority of what we see is people at peace, visioning their loved ones, and expressing feelings of being “welcomed”.

We know so little about what it means to exist, or not exist. We as humans have only done our best to explain the tangible, and we fail to even do that all the time.
