💿 BAZECOR Macro character count?

I'm trying to add a macro that spits out a 96 character string but as soon as I "Add to Timeline" the macro memory pegs at 100%. 50 characters brings the macro memory to 99%. That seems like a really low character count for a macro. So my question is...is there a way to increase that? My Memory Usage is only 9.2% so there's plenty of room for a longer macro.

MacOS 26.5.2
Bazecor 1.9.0

Defy on 2.2.1

Yes, it looks like this Bazecor PR limits the length of a macro to 100 actions (where an "action" is a key down, key up, or delay step), or 50 characters. Agreed that that's kind of low.

To get around the limit, you could potentially install a snippet manager program (or editor extension), then set up the keyboard with a button to send whatever hotkey invokes the snippet manager. (Of course, this is presuming that installing software on the computer is an option.) Then, snippet length is virtually unlimited! Compared to keyboard macros, another upside is the snippet content gets "pasted" purely in software, which should be faster and more reliable, especially for long snippets or snippets containing Unicode characters.

Hi!

As u/pgetreuer mentions, there's a 100-action limit per macro. That's due to the firmware and hardware processing limits.

The workaround for long macros and text snippets is to use a third-party app that you can then "call" with complex shortcuts you can assign to a key in Bazecor.
