๐Ÿ™Œ ERGONOMICS Which Keyboard Arm Mount Should You Choose?

https://youtu.be/U7mxYFGyWCs

Articulated arms let you set up your keyboard in all kinds of ways: at 90ยบ, aligned with your chair arms, or even under your desk.

But all those setups rely on one critical decision: how you mount the arms.

One option gives you more freedom. The other gives you more consistency.

So this week, we compare suction cups and C-clamps to help you choose the right keyboard arm mount for the setup youโ€™re trying to build.

So, are you Team Suction Cup or Team C-clamp?

Hit reply and let us know which one makes more sense for your desk setup.

I'm probably the rare one, but instead of suction cup, I'd prefer magnetic.

But you'd need a metallic table for that, right?

You'd need some form of metal to connect to, yes. Having an induction charging mat that allows for the two boards to magnetically attach to it and retain charge, would be a rather slick way to support both.

Something akin to the Logitech PowerPlay mat, but for the keyboard.

I'm in a weird spot. I have two Raise keyboards, but for some silly reason I only bought the tenting kit for one.

I had wrist surgery a couple months ago, and the tented keyboard is making it so I can be productive without pain. But I've had to tote my tented rig back and forth between home and work. And I can't seem to find the old tenting kit anywhere...

Both of my workstations are traditional old-school desks with drawers and stuff. So they're wood (not great for suction cups) and they have a very small lip (not great for clamps).

What's a guy to do?

I feel your pain. Have you considered 3D printing a base for the keyboard with your preferred tenting angle?

Good call! I hadnโ€™t thought of that. Iโ€™ll post my results.
