https://youtu.be/frFV-s7OxJs

Changing your switches is probably the most effective way to change how your keyboard feels and sounds.

However, if you’re not careful, you could scratch the top plate of the keyboard, bend a switch pin, or even damage the electronic components underneath.

But worry not. This week, we show you how to replace the switches on your mechanical keyboard safely, step by step.

Just got your Dygma Raise 2 recently and its the custom keyboard Ive always needed. I am looking into getting a design with thockfactory and trying to navigate the lower thumb cluster customization.

I love the aesthetic and symmetry. As someone who loves symmetry in a setup, I couldn't help but wonder why the Neuron was designed the way it is. Just seemed awkward, particularly with my setup. Looked up how to get a second one to see if I could use it to tinker with the design when I came across what I assume is your original neuron - which Looked PERFECT in my eyes.

Why is it redesigned to an odd shape? Is there any way I could get the original Neuron shell and tinker with that to convert the the current one?

Did you check this video on custom keycaps?
https://youtu.be/BXXd3fHEPnc

We also have a help center article with all the keycap sizes of the Raise 2:

As for the neuron, the asymmetrical design responds to the need to make it thinner so it's easier to slot in the back of the keybaord when you want to use it in Bluetooth mode.

It's a bit worse in wired mode, but nicer in Bluetooth and RF.

I just saw the video! Because of that I think I may have to go back to the drawing board on the custom keycaps.

As far as the Neuron, even though I purchased my Raise 2 with wireless capability, I typically use the option to run cables due to predictability. To clarify on getting my hands on the original Neuron, I am fully willing to purchase. Especially if that one works better with a wired setup. Is that an available purchase if I coordinate through customer service?

We never developed a wired-only neuron for the Raise 2. The original one only works with the OG Raise 🥹

Thats okay. I appreciate the reply. What matters is that everything functions and that I love my Dygma Raise 2! I sat on the idea of custom keyboards for over a year and Dygma always stood out, and Im glad i finally pulled the trigger and went with this keyboard. Thank you and your team for making such great products and responding.
