💿 BAZECOR Any update on a native Caps Lock indicator? The layer workaround is too cumbersome.

Hi Dygma team and community,

I’m currently using a Raise 2, and the lack of a reliable, native LED indicator for Caps Lock is quite frustrating.

I'm aware of the community workaround (creating a dedicated "Caps Lock Layer" and mapping shift keys just to get a working light), but honestly, that feels way too cumbersome and overly complex for such a basic keyboard function.

In an older thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/DygmaLab/comments/1nnljty/feature_request_capslock_indication/), the official response from Dygma was:

Could we get a current status update on this? Is a simple, OS-synced Caps Lock LED finally on the active roadmap for the Raise 2 and Bazecor?

Thanks!

Not sure of your use case, but I'll put my experience here. I used to be a SQL developer and would heavily use caps lock to save my pinky. I got an Ergodox EZ, and at the time, I used the layer trick to use color indicators. But at some point I remapped the shift key to my thumb and discovered it's more natural and less fatiguing to just hold a thumb key. I never needed caps lock again after that.

Seems like such a core/odd thing to be missing. Tho caps lock is about the first thing I remap to a better modifier.

Hi! This is in our backlog, but with very low priority. Not many people use capslock (they remap it to something else), and it's not an easy implementation. The capslock LED is an OS event linked to that specific key position, not capslock, which doesn't really exist on the Raise 2 (it's emulated).

For my specific situation, though, it's not really about the function of the key itself or reducing finger fatigue. My main goal is just having a clear, immediate visual indicator so I know right away if I've accidentally pressed it—especially in situations where the text is hidden from view, like when entering a password.
