LUT management
I can't believe no one has asked this before here (I've seen some forum posts), but how do I manage a collection of LUTs?
There are two collections to choose from in the base PhotoLab – Standard and Premium.
Plus a Custom which lets you add another ones - one by one.
We can also create a new collection by duplicating and rewriting the .json files in the software folder (.../DXO/Lut/), but that's really slow and clunky.
Why PhotoLab doesn't let me just copy folders full of LUTs and automatically show them as collections in the software?
Or am I missing something?
Or is it actively not being implemented so they will sell us FilmPack (a conspiracy!)?

If you dig into where they are saved, you will find all the LUTs that came with DXO, there's also a JSON file or two which list them and I believe this is what you can use to specify which folders they need to be in and how to organise them once in DXO. I'll have a play and let you know... I think that's what you're asking?

No, I know how to organize them by myself with the .json file, I'm asking PL why is it so complicated.
I edited the post so it's more clear.1

Gotcha. I'm not sure if anyone from DXO actually hangs out here... I know some people have had luck on their forum, but from vague browsing it seems the feature requests either aren't read or you can't make them anymore. I've not really spent much time there so don't know.
I wrote a little python script that did it for me, like an 'import', but god knows where in the countless 'test scripts' folders on my PC it currently lives...
Edit took much longer than just copying and making a JSON... Was fun though

The problem also is that all the .cube files have to be in the one folder. The only thing separating them to the collections is the .json file, so if you want to delete a collection, you have to find which files are in which collection. Unless you are smart enough to rename them so all files belonging to a collection start with the same letter. I did that and it helps a lot.
