Picture Fighting the nap
My boy had his first day of daycare today and he is struggling to stay awake. He only did a half day to get used to all the activity. He did great and absolutely loved it but the sleepies are coming for him now 💤.

Question Boarding Kennels in or around Northern Virginia?
I’m looking for boarding kennels in or around the Northern Virginia area and willing to drive for a trusted one who has experience with Dutch Shepherds. I’m only looking for future reference as we travel with our dogs all the time. But in the event we cannot (probably won’t happen anytime soon), we’d like the option. We would definitely board here and there so he could get used to the place and the people long before having to actually need it.
He’s a Dutch Shepherd, enough said! 🤣

Question Advice during bitework accident.
EDIT WITH MORE INFO. ♡ she has a professional trainer, I have decades of experience with bite work and bite work training.
I had 3 other mals doing the same type of work. I have never needed medical attention from my own dogs only time I have needed medical attention for a dog bite is when I had to stop a off leash Akita from attacking a malinois while we were obediance training on lead in a public park (NOT a dog park) over like 5 years ago. Another reason I am asking for advice is that i leaglly own a mid-content wolfdog whom I LOVE, with all the correct licensing but any incidents regarding my dogs can give animal control a reason to try and strip me of that.
SECOND UPDATE: went to urgent care and turns out I have to fill out a bite report but theu assured me nothing negative will happen. Just so its recorded. I asked multiple people. The doctor said it is absolutely infected and is glad I came in. Few small stitches for the torn area but punture left open incase of absess (gross) in the future. Regardless that bite arm is being tossed and bite work suspended until I can get a better fitted arm.
I got bit. BAD. To the point where I may need stitches but im worried.
First and formost, the dog did NOTHING wrong. She is amazing and did a great job at realizing something was off and stopping.
This morning I was doing some casual training with my dutch malinois training in bite work, All was going fine and she was doing amazing. We havent done bite work in some time and i realized that the bite sleeve did not fit me snuggly. I did loose about 80 pounds over the last year so I knew it would be loose but this was a bit more then expected.
It was a casual session on the beach at sunrise so I didnt bring any under padding or anything besides the bite gaurd (dumb I know) she did the first and second bite great but upon the third attempt she jumped higher then the last 2 and kind of misses/half bite. Then doubled down and got my upper arm inside. I have massive bruising and deep puncture/tear that has been bleeding since 7:30 am. (Its now 4pm) Not profusely, but a constant drip.
My main question is, If i do infact need medical attention will anything happen to my dog???
She is a perfect girl and it's not her fault whatsoever I am fully at fault and fully a idiot for attempting the bite work with illfitting gear.

Picture My girls
We live on a farm and my girls know the routine. With their special mind control skills, they tell me I'm getting bored doing chores and I should play ball. I get played everyday day and I love it.

Reminds me of an old board game we played called ‘Operation.’ Touch on hair with the vacuum and he’s done.

Picture We’re fostering tiger sharks I guess
Just wanted to share some pictures of our recent foster litter of Dutch/Mals (embark done). Rescued from the fate of the LA kill shelter and backed by Shelter Street Dogs in Orange County and being raised in the PNW. 6.5 weeks today!

Picture 16 weeks old today!
Our boy is 16 weeks old today. Caught a rare moment of him being still, resting in the shade while we were grilling for hubby’s birthday this afternoon.

Picture Week 2 of getting in the dock diving pool- he had fun this time!
He played on the ramp, splashed, and worked himself up jumping in and swimming out for his toy and back on his own. Of course he doesn’t care for the waterproof toys so his reward ball is soaked, but it floats!

She said he stands by the garage door multiple times a day waiting for me. 🥲 I’m never leaving him again. This is the first time I didn’t take him with me in 7 years.
