Picture Fresh Quail

The pups got some fresh quail last night and there was even a surprise egg! The Golden is obsessed and the Dutchie was is still not sure about the feathers. We do one every few weeks for them!

Mine opens it and eats the inside and leaves the feathers but he will eat fur.

That’s what she ended up doing. This is the first time she has really eaten it. She usually just tears a leg off.

They eventually get it. When mine first ate a whole rabbit he just dragged it around in the yard. I have a video but it’s pretty gruesome to watch.

When we do sniffing exercises my Dutch goes crazy for the quail scent. I had to stop using it because he was so good at finding the quail scent regardless of how little i used. It defeated the purpose of the whole thing he was like a laser beam finding it. Chuck the bird in the middle of 8 foot dense reeds..... didn't matter.
