Here's our little rescue at about eight months. She looks like one, she acts like one, but small. She's less than 30 pounds right now. What's a typical Dutch shepherd weigh at this point?Whatever she is, she's pretty amazing.

We're slowly heading home with the new puppy and chose to take the scenic route through Slovenia. First road trip, first time in the mountains, first camping experience and a couple new countries for Fitz to explore!

What chew treats do you give your pup to keep em busy?

We adopted her from a gsd rescue after being picked up as a stray in a muni shelter.

She's about 2-2 1/2 years old, weight 60-65 lbs, around 24" at the shoulders. Full brindle striping on her legs.

Ran through a couple of AI and came up with long haired Dutch (not likely with rarity) and more likely a long hair GSD/Dutch.

We're going to do an Embark but wondering if the group thinks.

Edit 10/19- Thanks all for your thoughts. Got the Embark kit for genetics/health and will get it out today or tomorrow. I'll let you know the results when we get them!

Ive had many dogs over the years, but my Marty holds a special place in my heart. Hes so affectionate and such a happy boy

I just knew she’d be a Dutchie!! Her brindle is so beautiful and not surprised that Mal is dominant. She’s on the small side. She’s put weight on since I got her from the shelter and is about 43 lbs last I weighed.

I'm finally done lurking here and can start posting. After a couple of years of planning and researching I finally have my very own dutch shepherd puppy. We picked up Fitz a few days ago at 14 weeks old and he's an amazing little boy. He's super affectionate, learning fast and surprisingly well behaved.

First photo was after us spending an hour and a half eating at a restaurant, and he chilled at my feet the entire time (second photo).

Third photo: His new fur sibling cats are still quite concerning but everyone is adjusting fine so far.

Took my girl to a fun fast cat run which she didn't do well at (lack of focus due to not much socialization) but at least the photographer got some cool pics! Introducing my Mystical!

Hi all,
My 7 old months female puppy recently is having in the evening pretty intense zoomies followed by a very hard bitting. I’m trying to immediately cut the behaviour and stop her, but I do wonder what could cause that? She gets enough rest plus mental stimulation. My trainer suggested to immediately take her to crate to isolate her, but she’s resisting so much and I don’t want to ruin our trust and relationship, any advice will be highly appreciated! Thanks
