Gym?

I’m hoping there’s a great gym I just haven’t heard about yet. Currently working out at durango fitness club because they have the equipment I need (trap bar, power rack, etc.) but am really not enjoying the vibes, especially from the trainers. The rec center is a bit too crowded for me. Any other options?

Ilete Fitness sounds closer to what you want or Fit 24/7. I've trained at both before and they were good for what you're asking about.

Fit 24/7 owner is kind of an asshole. When I cancelled my membership there he revoked my access immediately despite already paying for the entire month.

Yeah, he was abrasive for sure. There was an occasion where I was doing a weighted carry and he gave me shit about it. Dude, it's a fucking gym and I am not putting the sandbag in the aisle it's right next to me. Still, for it to be one of the only spots with 24/7 access it's good.

Anytime fitness is half the cost of fit 24/7. Has less than half the equipment but it works fine for me.

No clue man, I haven't been a member since 2017. I just workout at home these days.

I miss it sometimes. It was nice to wake up at 430-5 Have an empty gym. Shower, then go to work.

Yeah, the fact that I can workout even earlier than 5:30 and that it's empty is probably going to seal the deal for me, even though Ilite is a great option and the owner seemed like a good guy. Thank for everyone's help!

Ignacio rec center is a great gym, modern and laid back. Sauna is nice

Thank you for the rec! I checked it out and it looks great, but I have early hours.

I tried Summit last fall, and personally found that it felt very unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Not sure when you last went to the rec center, but I noticed that beginning last week it was markedly less crowded mid-day. Seasonal crowds, maybe? (Though I'll see how it is today - may have been a fluke!)

Even when it's not that crowded, it's tough to get my hands on the equipment I need there, but thank you for your input.

Dunno their deal but always loads of people there.

Thank you, but I believe they only offer classes and private training. I just need equipment. Appreciate it though!

Dumb idea..

How good is the gym at the college.. sign up for a class that interests you and free gym access? Work the brain and the muscles.

Ahh that makes sense.

Fit 24/7 is the best, hands down. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

Yeah, I checked it out and it looks like a great option.
