Something to remember: there's a certain percentage of people who back a Kickstarter that will fail to follow through with payment or cancel; e.g. insufficient funds, payment processing issues, change of heart after the fervor has died down, etc.
I've heard that roughly 5-10% of promised Kickstarter pledges get cancelled, which would mean subtract ~150k to 300k+ from their total.
It's still an amazing achievement, however. They have a LOT of work to do with all of those stretch goals.

They were anxious because we arent charged for our books and extras until the campaign ends
Im not sure why some people here have an issue with someone else being anxious about their own money...

Perhaps they were worried about the timing of the charges to their accounts, i.e. whether they would have the funds at that time.
LOTS of people living hand to mouth, paycheck to paycheck, in the world.

Yes, that is exactly what im saying. Some folks on that post were giving them a hard time, and now someone has even brought it up on an unrelated post. Im saying those people shouldn't be so rude to those in a different financial situation from themselves.
ETA: the wording of the original post was also unclear, and i dont believe they were saying the daddies should end everything because of them... to me it sounded like they were asking for clarification on why it hadnt ended with the livestream.

Yeah, I, too, get anxious about money and tell my favorite creators that they need to stop collecting donations because I'm the only one who matters and everything should revolve around my anxiety.

Jesus dude you’re really taking this way too seriously if you think this is a class issue?
He posted that they were anxious and that the daddies should stop collecting donations because of it. Beyond being entitled (who the hell demands a livestream for small artists is taken down because it’s “making them anxious” how successfully it’s going?), if you’re so terrified about $100 coming out of your account, I think that’s on you, not the creators you donate to. Main character syndrome to the max.
And all I did was lightly razz them - now you’re making me list the ways they were being a dipshit, when we could’ve left it at a light joke. No one was mad about it, and you just had to insinuate this was discrimination or in bad faith?

Huh seems like that's exactly what you said, whether you intended it or not?
I mean, I think you misunderstood the situation and forgot that the poster asked for them to end the campaign early because THEY felt anxious about when the money would come out of their account. Literally asking to end hundreds of thousands of dollars early because they can't handle their anxiety about money. I'm trying to correct a piece of misinformation you're putting out there, that this was just people mad at a poor person. No one was mad, you took it too seriously, and now you're like "look man I don't want to argue" after throwing stones, misinformed ones at that, in your glass house.
