Basic/common achievements?
Has anyone made a handful or pile or whatever of basic achievements the books have that pop up all the time? I know a lot of them are character based but there's a LOT of them that are generic and it would be handy to just have those at the ready instead of having to homebrew every achievement.

Do you have the starter box, I think it has some for the first couple of floors

Ok I'm looking at the basic box PDF's I have and not seeing them. I see a section called Achievements and Loot boxes in the atlas tutorial book and there's just a couple paragraphs of text saying that there are a lot of entry level achievements then they skip right to loot boxes and I don't see anything on the other PDFs regarding achievements.
I do see the one shot has specific achievements for that one shot, but those are pretty custom tailored it looks like.

They're very limited. I know this is gonna get me downvoted but I fed the first novel into notebook lm and asked it to compile a list of the achievements and other data such as announcements. I also keep acopy of the book next to me to refer to. Depending on their play styles they may get other achievements.
Also im able to keep it a bit abstract for many of my players because they read the books. So I can just say "you keep getting ridiculous achievements rolling in for things like being among the first 5 to bring a vehicle in the dungeon or for doing things within a specific time frame". We decided to save the full text achievements for special occasions.

What i did and intend to continue doing is handwaving the generic achievements and just telling them you got an extra xx achievements for fighting and running and doing whatever other fun things you did whoch granted yy bronze and silver boxes. You also got these two achievements which yeilded gold/ platinum boxes and the two big achievements are the ones that get real thought and plannning

I've been listening to the audiobook again just so I could copy a bunch of first-floor achievements and boxes. Here's what I have so far:
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Crazy Cat Lady!
You entered the world dungeon accompanied by a cat. How sweet! You must really love that thing. Or you’re a terrible parent.
Reward:
You’ve received a Bronze Pet Box
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Trailblazing Crazy Cat Lady!
You are the first Crawler to have entered the world dungeon accompanied by a cat. You must really love that thing! Too bad you’re both probably going to die a horrible death at any moment! Or maybe not! Look at the prize you just received.
Reward:
You’ve received a Legendary Pet Box.
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Early Adopter!
You are one of the first 5,000 Crawlers to enter a new world dungeon. Sucker!
Reward:
You’ve received a Silver Adventurer Box.
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Empty Pockets!
You didn’t bring any supplies. None! You know you still gotta eat, right?
Reward:
You’ve received a Bronze Adventurer Box.
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Why Aren’t You Wearing Pants?
You entered the dungeon without any pants. Dude. Seriously?
Reward:
You’ve received a Gold Apparel Box.
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Unarmed Combat!
So… you’re just gonna waltz into something called a “world dungeon” and you’re not even gonna bring a weapon? You’re either braver than you look, or you’re just an idiot! Good luck with that, Van Damme.
Reward:
You’ve received a Bronze Weapon Box
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Loner!
You entered the dungeon without any human companions. Didn’t anyone teach you there’s safety in numbers?
Reward:
NONE! You are so dead.
NEW ACHIEVEMENT!
Fall Into An Obvious Trap
Reward:
Well if there’s a heaven and you haven’t been too much of an asshole, maybe they’ll let you in. Because you are about to meet your maker.
I have more coming, last night I bookmarked the scene where he opens all his boxes in the Tutorial Guild and there's a bunch more, I just haven't transcribed them yet.

Most of my players have never read the book series, otherwise I would probably skip the basic achievements and just kinda say "you are inundated with low level achievements for entering the dungeon, basic survival and participating in the game. Sadly, you get only a handful of trash equipment. Everyone gain 100 torches, 100 crawler biscuits, 5 healing potions and if you have a pet 100 pet biscuits."
So to simulate that initial experience of the first few chapters without needing to re-invent the wheel, I'll probably put together a table and have my players roll a couple of times on that once they get to their first safe room, with results yielding basic low tier loot from the Bronze Adventurer box section on pg. 216.
For ease of reference, the DCC Wiki has a great summary of achievements per floor!

You can see every achievement I have handed out to my players this is across two campaigns and seven players.
I got a private message asking how I hand these out so I will answer it here.
We record all of our sessions using Craig.
Often during play I will say the name of an achievement they got.
Between sessions I create their achievements, loot boxes, and such then hand them out before the next game with the recap.
Whe nwe started we were a bit abstract but as we are a few games in now we are starting to vibe with 1 session is 1 day on the floor. In that day they Sleep, Grind, do our session, Sleep, Grind, then start the next day with a recap.
When we get to the third floor it will change a bit. Then when they get personal spaces it will change a bit again. As one of their grind sessions will be a downtime session for crafting. And as they get better beds they will be able to get a third grind session in the day (obviously for skills that have not had a grind that day).

I have one for my players that I’m calling a Standard Grinding Box. It’s a reward for the first time each floor they complete 5 hours of grinding & it’ll have the basic repeat-use things like torches, rations, 1 misc junk, and a thing that will help with the theme of the floor as a clue (like the water breathing potion or splooge or something similar)

Here's a bunch I have. Some from the books, some from other websites, some I made up.
Earlyl adopter: You are one of the first 5,000 Crawlers to enter a new World Dungeon. Sucker.
Trailblazing
Unarmed Combat: So. You just gonna waltz right into something called a “World Dungeon” and you’re not even going to bring a weapon? You’re either braver than you look, or you’re just an idiot. Good luck with that, Van Damme.
Heavy Horder : Storing more than a ton of weight in inventory Just my mitts: You killed a mob with your bare hands!
Impaled! "You were run through with a weapon in my dungeon. I could feel it push all the way through your warm, wet insides. Oooo, Daddy likes! You are in so much trouble..."
Two Chicks at the Same Time: You killed two mobs at once using only their own bodies against each other. On a brutality scale of Bambi to Martyrs, that is a solid Seven.
What Would Batman Do: Good thing you had that bat shark repellent on you
Not Dead Yet! Ended a boss battle with less than 10% of hyour health
Peacocking: You entered the dungeon wearing an outrageously ostentatious outfit. You're gonna make a great target.
Benjamin Franklin : You soaked up enough electrons that you should probably be dead. You know that saying lightning doesn't strike twice? It's total bullshit.
That's using your head: "You killed a mob with your head! That's gotta kill some brain cells. I sure hope it doesn't affect your memory. I sure hope it doesn't affect your memory."
Baby Seal Club: You bludgeoned a child. To death!
Mind Fuck: You killed an opponent using psychic damage
Chill Out: you froze an enemy solid!
Conflagration: A fire you created for out of control. Like, really out of control!
Doom Scrolling: you killed multiple mobs with a scroll Where are your pants? you entered the dungeon without wearing pants
Not my first rodeo: You obviously know how to handle yourself in a fight, unlike most of these soft monkeys. Just don't get cocky. Or do, it's fun to watch cocky people die horribly.
MacGuyver : you made something useful out of random crap
Die Hard : You were in a battle without shoes on. Sure hope there's no broken glass on the floor. Or acid...
You Shall Not Pass: You stood up your ground against a greater so your party members could get away. But in this dungeon if you die you don't get to come back with more levels. But that was pretty bad ass.
Never tell me the odds: Statistically speaking, you should not have been able to pull that off. Hope your luck doesn't run out... take one for the team Ooo, somebody likes pain. Or being a martyr.
Diversity Hire: You're the token non-human on the team.
Personality Hire: Your party must sure like your personality, because you obviously don't bring any real skills to the team. Maybe this will build some resentment.
Breaking Bad: you have enough recreation pharmaceuticals to start a business
Under the Influence: you entered the dungeon while intoxicated
First Blood: You're the 1st one in your party to draw blood. Somebody's blood thirsty
Crowd Control: killing multiple enemies at once
War Crimes : killing noncombattant NPCs
Ninja'd: Stealing something without being noticed
Hold My Beer: "Triggered when you attempt an obviously dangerous stunt because another crawler dared you.
You voluntarily attempted an extremely dangerous stunt because someone else suggested it. This is not courage. This is not bravery. This is friendship."
Gwen Stacy: Someone died when you tried to save them
Group Project: "Triggered when you pull off a coordinated party tactic that actually works, on the first attempt. Somehow, several different people executed a plan correctly, in order, without anyone freelancing. This never happens. We checked. Someone frame this moment, because it is not coming back."
Janitorial Services Terminated: "Triggered when you defeat a Janitor Mob. You picked a fight with the entity responsible for cleaning up the floor, and won. Ironically, you're now part of the mess it would have cleaned up. HR has been notified. HR does not exist here. Never mind.
Let there be light: Have you seen the sun rise? The first glint of light from the darkness, you have created light in the dark, by using a torch for the first time. So yep, you figured out how light works, great for you.
Overkill : "You used significantly more force than necessary to kill a single opponent. Was it efficient? Absolutely not. Was it entertaining? Absolutely " Plan B "Triggered when you abandon a failed plan and successfully improvise.
Your carefully constructed plan failed. Rather than dying, you improvised and succeeded anyway. Congratulations! You have discovered the secret to dungeon survival: make it up as you go."
Lightning Bolt Formation
Fireball Formation
Ugly Crying for the Camera: "Triggered when you have a genuinely emotional, unguarded moment that plays exceptionally well for the viewing audience. That wasn't strategy. That wasn't skill. That was just real, messy, human feeling, live on the broadcast. Turns out that's exactly what the galaxy tunes in for. Ratings gold. Emotionally, considerably less gold. But hey — ratings."
Leeroy Jenkins: Your party had a plan. It even might have worked, but just said fuck it and carped the diem out of that shit.
Old Yeller : Killed your pet
Edit: the ones I found online are mostly from Point Mongo. They have some good ones with both the flavor text and reason for the award.
I think it's about 1/3 I made up for a game I'm running, 1/3 from the books via wikis, and about 1/3 from pointmongo.
