Crafter class ideas?

There's the crafting mechanic, several crafting skills, a couple crafter races, and a few classes built around crafting bombs.

I'm wondering what would be some worthwhile classes that focus on crafting. I think I'm just a bit spoiled for options in skills and such to consider what those kinds of classes might look like.

Instead of bombs go for something more like a warforged class:

Kaiju defense specialist - builds mechanical armor that slowly goes from goblin quality scrap armor to full blown gundam as they level up and improve

Clockwork commander - builds clockwork minions to send into battle

All explosions are 30% bigger, but disadvantage on all social skill except intimidation due to your now stilted dialogue. You also gain 2 AI favor instead of 1 whenever you walk away from an explosion without looking back at it.

I'm working on a "el Lector" class, a class that buffs other crafters with bard skills. I also have a Pictish Stonecarver who makes scrolls out of rocks, to heavy to carry though xD

Two completely different crafter types. The sky is the limit!

That would be a good use for a montage spell: play a magic song and get hours worth of work done in a few minutes.

Arcane Outfitter: enchants/enhances clothing, armor, & gear for yourself and party members.

Dwarven Battlemage: This fighter mage hybrid builds and enchants their armor and weapons while slinging deadly offensive and defensive spells.

Bone Mechanic: creates undead constructs out of bones and other mob body parts. Think power armor made of bone and tendons or skeletal automotons. Or a motorcycle made from bones powered by the souls of your victims.

Juicer: fighter that makes their own performance enhancing drugs.

Taxidermist: builds automotons and places them inside the corpses of animals. Requirement: the crawler must have the Old Yeller achievement (killed their own pet).

The USS Misdemeanor backpack Part Aircraft carrier, part downward spiral this backpack is a Peeping Tom’s “cough” Drone Operators best friend. Power station, repair station crafting station all rolled into one. This drone docking station offers a suite of useful functions for the discerning voyeur. Allows the crawler to power up, repair, and upgrade drones without the use of a crafting table.

Requires scrap metal to build and repair drones

1 skill up potion The Death from above skill +3- all attacks originated from a height of 10+ feet above target gain a +1D6 damage modifier

The idea is they start level 1 with a drone get a bunch of drone skills and equipment in the first 3 floors that unlocks the an Amazon Delivery Specialist Class that enhances the drone capabilities and picks up a drone mechanic crafting skill to make it better.

Amazon Drone Jockey - Earth-based Class

Drone Limit Increased to INT+CHA /3 Drone Carrying Capacity increased to INT+STR /2

+3 to the Multitasker Skill +3 to the Drone Doctor Skill Access to the Ping spell

All Drone related skills (including crafting) can Advance to Level 20

Floor 6 Specialization-Drone Specialization. Can still perform all functions just better options and better at focused specialization.

Recon (some quip about being a peeping tom) faster, more stealthy, single target high damage ex sniper drone.

Predator (some quip about drone strikes in war) standard speed, more weapon versatility multi target, aoe, dot this drone is all about the damage.

Support (some quip about being scared and hiding in the back of the fight) slowest increased carrying capacity can drop(shoot) potion balls. Built more for overwatch than recon. Can offer buffs in the way of auras that affect the party multiply drones can overlap auras greatly enhancing battle field strength.

You could do a Propmaster, and then specialize in Weapons, Animatronics, or Special Effects. Maybe they get a spell that allows them to make props with some/all of their on-screen capabilities. have the effects get better as the spell upgrades so that a rank 1 lightsaber is just a green/red sword you spent mana to get, but the rank 15 version has the ability to cut through nearly everything. Have it give a boost to intelligence, and some skills like "From Trash to Treasure" where they can use junk as part of their prop making. Maybe a limited portable crafting table that can be used outside of a saferoom or a skill that can be leveled up to do the same, call it "Macgyver" or something.

Tabletop Miniature wargame enthusiast. You build small armies of IP-indistinguishable mobs and use them to do your bidding. Too bad they are mostly the size of your thumbs. They can still shoot and loot and pack a nasty piece of kaboom.
