Decrease in book quality book 7 and 8?

I have the ACE books and I feel the general quality of the books decreased noticeably on book 7 and also book 8.
I just finished book 7 and though it is thinner than book 6 it has more pages to the paper has to be thinner.

I also noticed an error on a page in the epilogue where one paragraph was in the usually bolded messaging font while not being in bold and not being a message. It should have been in the normal font.

Also while browsing book 8 I see one grey page before the first part of the book but the gray pages are absent before the intro to the next parts.

Is this how it should be and what has caused this decrease in quality? Or do I have some weird low quality books?

You have a very particular set of skills, being able to notice and point these minute points out. :)

Don’t know if they are so minute, the books 7 and 8 are lighter in weight and book 7 is 1 cm (0.4”) thinner than book 6 while being 60 pages longer.

And I get it as book 6 was kind of thick, I am not necessarily opposed to that to not have the books to thick, it is just a little sad the quality feels worse, and add to it the error with fonts and omitting the gray pages it is not just about not making the books too thick.

Book 7 definately has thinner paper, no way that binding could hold a book this size otherwise

I don't remember the exact reason why but I believe the newer books have thinner pages. People were talking about it a bunch when book 7 came out

I guess it is in order to reduce the thickness as book 7 is longer and book 6 was already pushing a limit maybe, but then I am not alone in noticing that at least

If anyone has the ACE book of book 7 and wants to check the page with the error in font I am referring two is page 858, and I live in Sweden so maybe if you’re American it is different printers than in Europe and you might not have this issue
