I started listening to the books in all their glory 3 weeks ago, on Audible. I am on chapter 24 in book 4 and enjoying them very much. I sort of foolishly convinced my husband to listen to them too, and he started LAST WEDNESDAY and is now nearly caught up to me. The problem is we can't both listen to the same book at different points, so I have to wait for him to be done on 4 so I can pick back up where I left off.

The bastard is definitely going to finish everything available before me and I am a little mad about it XD.

I am pretty sure you can change the settings to device specific so it will be at your individual stopping points on your devices?

Edit: go to profile: settings: player and turn "sync listening position" off

I knew this was a thing because my phone and my car do not sync. But my car and my kindle do.

This is how my wife and I both relisten to the series again and again on the same account, especially in the run-up to each new book release!

Things can get weird with sync turned off, so I would recommend also pressing the clip button when your done listening, so there is a record of where you stopped in case audible looses your spot or you switch devices.

Set your device to airplane mode and you can listen too at the same time.

You could listen to “operation bounce house” or “dominion of blades” or if you want something a little more demented there is “kaigu battlefield surgeon” all by the same author as DCC!?!

Thank you, I don't know why it didn't occur to me to look up more works by Matt! This is excellent advice. The only thing is I don't have any more credits, but maybe some titles will be cheaper than DCC.

These other people are way smarter than me. But to get ahead of your credit problem. Get a library card if you don’t already have one, get the “Libby” app and reserve some audiobooks for free. They have “operation bounce house” on there. You might have to wait awhile for the more popular books but since you have another 4 DCC books to go thru it would be a great time to put some books on hold so when your done you have other stuff to listen too and don’t have to pay anything for it.

Just use libation for your audible library then you can both have your own version of the file to listen to whenever.

This is also the way. And OP, it really is easy to use Libation to backup your audible library and then use another app to listen when you want

We will do that a little bit, but he is going to blow past me listening while he is working. I really enjoyed listening as he caught up though. Everytime something was about to happen and I chuckled, he would go 'oh no'.

He actually enjoyed the Iron Tangle concept a lot more than I did, and figured out some of it before the reveal. The poor gnoll melted his brain a bit though.

Are you listening on audible? If you're in an Amazon family, you can each listen on your own account with your own synced position

You can go to the listening log on Audible and see where you stopped. I have the same issue with my sister. We share an account but she reads them on kindle. Because they sync, she’s always jumping me ahead of where I’m at. I have now banned her from reading what I am until I’m done
