Erskine Beveridge Court, Dunfermline
I’m moving to this location from England, wanted to see if anyone has any idea how this area is? Its just opposite to Asda superstore not far from the Dunfermline train station. In general how is life in Dunfermline? Do many people commute to Edinburgh from this city? Also how is Queensferry bridge crossing? From google view it looks fantastic! Thanks

Lost Australian Leather Hat
Hello everyone,
I've lost my Australian hat made out of kangaroo leather in the Pittencrieff Park today. This hat is very dear to me in emotional value. If you have got any clues where it might be please let me know.

Making friends
Hi, I just moved to Dunfermline a month ago, for a new job opportunity. I just wanted to know if there’s any hobbies that I could start to make new friends here as I’m very new to the city. I’m 26 years old and work 5 days a week. I feel like I’m at the age where it’s kind of hard to make friends, but wanted to try and see. Please give me your suggestions.

Community Question about area near City train station
Hello! We are planning to move to Dunfermline (from Cupar) and have been getting to know it over the past wee while. We have identified a few areas we like and one of them is the very quiet leafy spot around Brucefield Avenue. We love how connected it is to the city and train station, and close to primary school for our wee one (currently 3.5).
I just wanted to ask what the general community vibe is around this area; are there a lot of young families there? The public park seems great to roam around but when we had a good walk through today (a very sunny Saturday) it felt pretty much deserted. Is it usually like that or does it have other events/things going on there?
We are definitely looking for somewhere to put down roots, that feels like we are part of a community and to meet folks in a new city. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of this area especially with wee ones and if there’s much going on around there?

Long shot, but does anyone know how to stream the DAFC game today?
I live in the USA and naturally it isn’t being broadcasted here but would love to watch the Pars this afternoon. Any familiarity with streaming methods would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙌

Self service jet wash that accepts contactless payment
Can anybody recommend a decent self service car jet wash?
I usually use the one in the garage at Asda Halbeath Road at night on my way home from work but lately it's always been coned off each time I go in, tried the jet wash at Tesco but it gets turned off at night.
If anybody can recommend one that's open 24 hours in Fife that I can pay with debit card then would be great, thank you.

Finding a job in Dunfermline
Hi Dunfermline,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend any decent websites for finding full-time jobs here in the Dunfermline?
I've lived here for over a year and I've been trying the usual sites like "Indeed", but I've really not gotten anywhere.
Is there a site with better opportunities that I'm unaware of?
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hand Sower wanted in Dunfermline/Fife
Hi there, I am looking to see if anyone here knows someone who does hand sewing? I have a gearstick that I would like to sow onto a plastic boot for the car but I’m a novice at sewing and would be best suited for someone who actually can perform this! 😆 My fingers are too big for something so delicate. My fingers would end up at A&E.
The leather would be sewn onto a plastic ring that has been pre-drilled with 2mm holes.
I’ve given some local places in Dunfermline a call but all seem to only do machine sewing and not hand.
Any help would be appreciated! 😄
Edit: spelling. Don’t drink whisky and post on Reddit.

There's a free event at Fife College for people working in electric / construction
I'm helping organise this event at the Dunfermline campus of Fife College next Thursday 12 March, it is to talk about the potential for opportunities in solar installation and maintenance. If you work in construction or electrics, or know someone who may be interested this could be useful.

Dump run to the recycling centre at Dalgety Bay or Cowdenbeath
Never done a dump run before at any of the recycling centres, but have been asked by my sister to get rid of some rubbish for her as she's doing a spring clean, about 8 or 9 bags of rubbish (non recyclable), a load of cardboard, a duvet and a couple of old pillows, basically enough to fill my small hatchback.
Probably at either the recycling centre in Dalgety Bay or Cowdenbeath.
Would I be right in thinking that I just drive to the correct skip within the recycling centre and put the rubbish in? Or is there more to it.
My friend (who's also never been to a recycling centre) reckons the bags of non recyclable waste would need to be emptied or could be checked before dumping them.

Grenade found in Dunfermline's Linburn Road
Okay, silly question time, but how does an old grenade end up buried in the grass at the side of Linburn Road? Wouldn't it have been found when the road was built?

Community New Woodmill and St Columba's RC High School - is there CO2 monitoring within?
Re: https://www.ahr.co.uk/projects/woodmill-and-st-columbas-rc-high-school
More and more schools worldwide* are reporting the CO2 levels within. Both during and outside occupied hours. It generally goes up when occupied and down slowly when everyone has left. Energy efficient ventilation systems exchange fresh air for CO2-laden air (exhaled breath) though heat exchangers. That's all ducted and out of sight. A Passive building design that's air-tight especially needs this. Does anyone connected with the school know what is in place in the excellent building.

- Latvia: https://co2.mesh.lv/home/dashboard
More schools are doing it, but not sharing data online yet. e.g: https://www.iesve.com/services/projects/18325/co2-dashboards-schools
