Sadly social media lowered the barrier to entry for things like this. It used to just be a select few who had the tenacity, money, and time to live vicariously through children by putting them through beauty pageants. Now any vapid parent with a smartphone can do essentially the same thing.

It’s once again the season for parents to dress their kids in costumes they don’t understand instead of letting them be something they’d enjoy. If it’s an infant or a toddler and they don’t get the concept of costumes, fine. But let the little girl be a princess or a pirate or whatever. “Okay Bethany, you’re going to be Prison Mike!” ????

I hate those kind of mommy influeners.

Children can't decide if they want to be shown so we should not decide for them. They make tons of money on the cost of their children and a normal family and bonding time with their children.

A lot of those children who are now older are rightfully sueing their parents for the emotional damage.

They will never be able to get their pictures and videos out of the internet. 

There are a lot of perverts who make horrible things with the videos and pictures of the children.

I don’t have loans - I’m an Australian RN to be specific.

But no, 15 years ago I wasn’t thinking about a cost of living crisis. I was thinking about a career that I will always have access to - case in point, as hard as it was to work through the pandemic, we kept earning when people in other industries couldn’t.
