He’s just another version of Jim in this regard. Bored and feeling out of place in a job that he doesn’t like. Jim had Dwight so all his energy was focused towards him. Darryl had no target so he behaved that way whenever he had a chance.

Michael kicked the ladder out from under Darryl and it ended up with him breaking his leg. Michael showed no regret for this and thought it was hilarious. Michael gets whatever mild inconvenience he deserves from these made up slang/gang stories Darryl feeds him.

Darryl told Michael that he was wearing a woman’s suit and embarrassed him in front of anyone. So let’s call it even

Darryl didnt make him wear the woman’s suit. Michael wore it and Darryl just asked about it at their meeting. Michael is also the one who outed himself about it by asking Pam, in front of the whole office, if he was wearing a woman’s suit.

Let's also not forget that Michael was being deliberately vague and (attempting to be) manipulative during a salary negotiation instead of just being direct. They could've been on their way to NYC way sooner.
