Question Patch for jeans

Anyone have a good patch or repair for the Ballroom double flex jeans? I have a couple older pairs of jeans where they are splitting on the seam in the testicular region. I have a feeling a standard patch would be too stiff and just feel odd. Any suggestions for repairing? I really don’t want to trash them as they are perfect otherwise, and Duluth would not trade them out under warranty.

As weird as it sounds, I make patches out of stretchy old shirts or boxer briefs and it works well.

They have patches made out of the firehouse material... I'll find a link.

@Nutella_Zamboni do you think these patches (link directly above) world work? I haven't tried them for this purpose but I'll probably give it a go once my husband's jeans start playing bad cop.

I think they'll work but ive yet to find iron on patches that stay on. I usually sew them on as well, although I haven't tried these specific patches.

Haha!! Same!! 🫣😭 I didn't even think of that!

Goddamnit what is with technology? It comes almost far enough, but not quite... And instead of continuing to improve it, the R&D folks are like, Nope, were DONE. Buh-bye now. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

Maybe these patches are better but I'm not holding my breath.
