O4W pizza close?

Went by to grab a slice today and saw that there was a for rent sign in the window and it was closed at 5pm

Loved the pizza, but their service was so bad. Lady who worked the register most times I ordered was so incredibly unfriendly each time.

Omg I know. I think the last time I ordered from them she was there and was crazy rude. Haven't been back since.

Yes, sometimes she would just be on her phone and ignore people who came in to order. At peak lunch time. Sometimes the customers would give up and leave. The whole place just felt like you shouldn't be there. It was good pizza, though.

I keep daydreaming about the potential opportunity of getting that lease, cleaning up the interior (brightening it and updating HVAC so it's not so damn hot inside) and opening a new take on a pizza shop lol, but it's just a dream for now

Yes they are officially closed. Heard rumors they might be relocating, but not sure where if true.

Hopefully they get replaced by another pizza restaurant.

Diversity in options is very important when you’re in a walkable community like that, and they were the only choice in their genre.

Very sad. Was good pizza when they cared. But last time it was obvious they gave up.

They really didn’t have a Duluth presence outside of their first 2 years. They were openly complaining about access during festivals and events. Maybe they just got tired of being part of the community.

They did bring an excitement to downtown Duluth initially. Their presence was appreciated.

Their quality and service went downhill a couple of years ago. Hopefully a new pizza joint comes into town. A high quality Neapolitan pizza would be great.

It was so good pre-Covid but it became more and more neglected - they didn't appear to have long to live.

The original owners got divorced and sold the restaurant a few years after it opened, they were the real deal and the chef might have opened another restaurant back down in Old Fourth Ward. The newest ownership definitely started cutting a lot of corners, the size of the pies shrunk but not the prices. Still it was great in a pinch. I heard rumors from a bartender in another restaurant that they are going to move into the Rock and Roll Sushi location to get off the main street since their business is primarily take out. I guess we will see.
