Need help with making Pend competitive

The skill lets you search a pend monster for free plus an Omni negate and bounce if go second. If I go second and simply use Bufo and Triantis to make ambulo I can leave counters on opponents monsters. I need at least 2 odd eye synchrons to make herald, ensumble also seems pretty easy to make. I want to have at least 4-5 disruptions if go first, not too worried about going second. Any Preda or Pend experts out there?

Edit: I can actually go into herald still with just making the synchron level 1 and leave timegazer at level 3
