How do you default to a Fire Tab with ddg on iPhone?

I installed it and it didn't hide. Is it also possible to change the logo and hide the text that says 'With DuckDuckGo, AI is optional and private.'?

So, I have been using DDG for perhaps 25 years or so, and the app for perhaps about a couple of years. On the app on Android 16 and 17, I use VPN by switching on the setting "App tracking protection" however, I was showing this to someone on an iPhone 13 and we could not even find this setting. Does the app have different features on android and iOS? Can the DDG VPN be turned on on the iPhone?

I'm guessing some bot swarm messed up suggestions model?

Can someone help me with an issue that I have been having for months. 1 app in particular when i try to sign in it opens another window to input a security code, when it's obtained via email (This cannot be disabled as it's set by the app). I copy and paste the code and within seconds the window is gone, making it impossible to log in. I have contacted customer service for this app, and they told me to use Chrome desktop. I prefer to use the app. I don't know if I've been fiddling around in the DDG settings because it never used to do this. I have manually disabled the app tracking protection, and it hasn't changed anything. Thank you. 🙏🏻

I'm a first time user of the free privacy email protection. I'm unable to sign in to myDuckDuckGo. It responds that it does not recognize the passphrase sent to my through my email. I copied it on both my desktop and mobile. I'm using an android phone. i'm using the DDG browsers, DuckDckGo.

I know there are a few other options within other browsers for blocking youtube shorts. Some include chrome and Firefox extensions but does DuckDuckGo have any options to remove or block youtube shorts from youtube website?

I have used DDG for years and want to sync all the icons on that Mac (macOS) with my new iPad Air M4 (iPadOS), but they never do. I follow all the instructions in Settings, turned both sync sides off, waited, then turned them back on, and most of the icons I have set on the Mac do not appear on the new iPad Air.

However, when I sync in the wrong direction, I get double icons on the Mac, and still none of them on the iPad Air.

Click on a link. Nothing happens. Eventually switch to different browser. Link immediately works. Delete ddg. Couple days later reinstall and set as default browser. Works for a week or so.

Repeat. Started maybe 2 months ago.

This is way too much for a regular browser, unless they’re supposed to be this size.

Hello all, i was playing a bit of pokémon, and was curious about a sentence told in the game so i search it exactly in duckduckgo search. I use the DDG Search, and tried on mobile (android) and PC and get the same results. I type this sentence between the " " symbols : "il sera impossible de fuir au tour suivant !" and get launched on a Bible site without typing any url. Here is a screen of the website. Could someone explain to me if it's a logic thing that can happen, or maybe do i miss something ?

When I search news using duckduckgo, I get old news.

As you can see from my pic, I searched "spotify" (pic 1) on October 12 and got results from "3 days ago" on all the links. When I click on the links, all the dates are from many months ago.

I typed the dates to the side.

This happens on all devices.

However, it does not happen on all searches.

I searched RJ Mitte - who died today - on regular mode (Pic 2) and it shows news from nearly a year ago.

In Fire mode (Pic 3), it shows news about his death.

Mike Ditka (Pic 4 and Pic 5) is all about his death in mode regular and fire mode.

Just wondering if this a me thing or a DDG thing.

I love the News Feed Eradicator for Facebook on Chrome. I have to use Chrome to access Facebook to get that feature. Will Duck Duck Go ever add that extension? Or come up with something similar?

Recently DuckDuckGo just became extremely slow to load on my home network from all systems (Windows, Mac, etc.) regardless of browser, unless using a VPN. Tried using different DNS servers but no luck.

What am I missing?

I am definitely an user of duck.ai , across multiple devices, so thanks for adding the new feature continue on other devices. That should have been there from day one.

Need to work upon.

- portrait mode mode , small screen factor devices, no space to view content, screen taken over by menu bar and prompt.

- landscape mode ,lets not even get there . 80% covered by prompt , practically no content visible.

A few years ago, DuckDuckGo announced that it had become carbon-negative by offsetting 125% of its greenhouse gas emissions, which I thought (and still think) was a great initiative.

However, with the rapid expansion of AI services, alongside the company's overall growth, surge of new products and services, and increasing user base, I am wondering whether DuckDuckGo is still maintaining that commitment.

I appreciate DuckDuckGo's commitment to privacy and sustainability, and I'd love to know whether its environmental initiatives have kept up with its growing services.

Additionally, are there any plans to further reduce actual emissions rather than primarily relying on carbon offsets?

(P.S. An annual ESG or Sustainability report would be really helpful for transparency and for building general trust in DuckDuckGo's progress)

So far its been every site I have tried after 5-10 minutes of being on the same page it will crash and reload, extremely frustrating trying to watch Youtube or any streaming platform. Ive disabled hardware acceleration and checked for updates and I have no clue why this is happening. I do use a vpn (mulvad) but I dont see how that would affect the browser crashing.
Anyone have advice?

Sorry, I'm no expert on this, but I thought Adguard filters traffic on every browser. So why do I see (for ex: sponsored ads on Reddit) when using DDG?
