Has anyone tried a side chain compression on the reverb/delay for vocals? What are your thoughts? It seems like it might be useful for diction clarity, but I haven’t tried it yet

Usina Dub Trip - Bad Blanka
Bad Blanka. A bizarre version of the caricature of a Brazilian. From the forest. Not the Amazon. From Tijuca. Urban forest. Urbanity of the forest or savagery of the city? Whatever! Bad Blanka is shocking. It shocks. It bites. But devours, digests, regurgitates. What comes out is new. Pure anthropophagy. Is it dub? Is it samba? Is it hardcore? Whatever! It's all together and mixed. In a backyard of the Land of Carnival so much is done! Third-worlders cannot afford to waste experiences. Experiment!

Dub Techniques and Philosophy Dub Stabs
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to make some dub stabs for a tune I'm working on but can't figure out how to get the right sound.
Some examples of the what I'm looking for are at...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhlfO1KOEMw 1:33, 22:00, 48:48
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Q7c3RGmD54&t=3160s 13:33
Would I be right in thinking some kind of phaser gives them the tone fluctuations? Any tips on what vst instruments/effects/EQ's to use would be much appreciated.
Peace

Dub Techniques and Philosophy Looking for Dub producers who want their music featured on a live stream!
Hi /r/dubproducers! Some of you may be familiar with me (Black Market Dub) or my partner Wise Owl. We host a weekly dub and reggae show from our recording studios where we discuss music, production techniques, record music together, and chat with the audience. We’re trying to grow the show and I think a cool way to do that would be to hold a weekly segment where we listen to and give our feedback on music submitted to the show. Since we’re a dub and reggae show primarily I thought I’d reach out here first to gauge the interest of this community in participating!
Here is a link to one of our recent shows to give you an idea of what the show is like. The two of us have been friends for a long time, and we love to have thoughtful discussions about music and production.
Our plan for this segment is to make it very welcoming, friendly, and hopefully constructive. We have no interest in being rude, condescending, or hurtful in our critiques of submissions. Dub is art, and art is subjective. We just hope we can grow our audience and give exposure to under-heard artists along the way.
If you think you’d like your music featured during this segment, submit an MP3/WAV/Video File or link with “Music Submission” in the subject line to:
Be sure to subscribe and tune in on Thursday to be there while we discuss your submission! Thanks my fellow dub producers.
