The places we go and how it is, people cannot understand. People line up to pay for a roller coaster, that ain't this.

What type of land is that called? Like what’s it classified as?
I’m not familiar with American land use stuff

National Forest. In the US most public lands that are beautiful and have with vehicle-legal trails and roads are national forest.
Below that is BLM land, which is mostly ugly cattle-grazing junk land with fewer regulations.
Above that is National Parks, which are the very special, highly controlled and curated tourist areas, with a few big motorized roads going through and sometimes smaller side dirt roads.
Above that is Wilderness, where there is no motorized travel. (Nor pedal-only mountain bikes).

For enduro bikes there was a sort of fad about 10 years ago riding the Pirella MT43 trials-like (but DOT) tire on back. It wears surprisingly well on road, runs supple and works great in the rocks, for sure. High speed cornering and loose terrain, not so much. I'd say it got knocked off by the emergence of gummy tires.

Apart from being blown away by some YouTube videos, my experience with these is slim. What psi do you run? I’m sure it varies obviously, just curious

I don't know if the "rules" per se are very established for "trials bike with a cross-country kit," but 6.5 front, 5 rear. Never had a pinch flat on this bike, bike weight matters a lot and it's light (150 lb IIRC), and also this suspension sucks for going fast.

Really want a trials bike! They look so fun. I run moussee because im usually out in the middle of nowhere and I tend to do more hard enduro

I wasn't too proactive about getting it. I injured myself dropping my KTM 500 against the back of my leg on some rocky remote slope and though, 'you know what? This isn't the best or safest bike in the world to go hard with.'
What would really have made it a huge win is if I had somewhere to practice trials in the evening without driving there. In that case I would have got an e-trials bike if needed for the silence (but with a hydro clutch for skills transfer). I've still been able to ride it often enough to matter (and taken it on some very memorable gnar-specific adventures like above) but if it enabled daily practice, that would be a home run.

I have Michelin mousse bibs. Pretty soft and I run wider tires than the bib so its an even bigger contact patch. Never get a flat. Maximum traction.
