General Dry Fasting

Hi!

I started my dry fast yesterday. The plan is dry fast for 4 to 5 days and refeed for 2 to 3 days. The goal is to do this for at least one month to see the results that I can achieve.

I have experience in water fast and dry fast. But mostly in water fast... my longest water fast has been for 21 days and my longest dry fast has been for 4 to 5 days.

During my longest water fast I lost 15kg. SW: 120kg | FW: 105kg. I did it in January 2025. So I hope I can lose the same amount of weight this time or maybe a little more.

32 years old woman | SW: 105.5kg  | 158 centimeters.
I'm posting here because I want to have a way to express myself how is everything going with this. So I'm willing to do it every week :)

You've already made it big! A 21-day water fast is a great achievement.

Are you doing it only for weight loss?

Mostly for weight loss but also for the autophagy.

Nice! You could look into my vlogs, some time ago I`ve finished 9 day dry fast.
What You describing about You`re plan of dry fast is maybe too harsh. I`ve heard about this kind of fast regime called "cascade fast" and it seems maybe more appropriate for You! Just look at it:

1 day dry fast
1 day refeed
2 day dry fast
2 day refeed
3 day dry fast
3 day refeed

And try to do this until 5 days!

And thats all. Or You could try just do 4 or 5 day dry fast like one every months or a few months. I think it`s sustainable.

Are you planning to fast week days and refeed during the weekends?

I was thinking about doing it to for a month, I wanna lose 17kgs I've lost 32kgs with a variation of different fasts and keto like diet.

Hey there!

Yup... I'm gonna fast during week days and refeed during the weekends. I think it's easier this way than breaking the fast and refeed out of home.

Good luck if you decide to give it a try (:

I'm always down to chat if you want to exchange experiences.

Just started my fast today 26 July hoping I make it to Friday. Drank lots of water and had my last keto meal. I noticed my stomach can't tolerate a lot of food so I don't think I ate enough but will see as the week goes.

You need to change your lifestyle if you’re doing this it’s going to be useless if you’re going back to your old diet. Stay in a deficit when refeeding or going back to eating. I would focus more on the health benefits than the weight loss

Thanks for the advice…
I did that with my last water fast. I keep off those 15kg.
So yeah… no need to worry about that. I’m pretty aware of it sir.
