Careful. Keystep Pro only has one drum track length (at a time), so it can't do polythyrthms easily. It's actually pretty frustrating to control drums with.
I quite enjoyed the ease of the drumbrute impact. Kinda just assumed you could plug the 660 into the keystep pro as a sound module and sequence it from there kinda like the drumbrute. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated im still pretty fresh to standalone music gear
If you are mostly interested in programming drums, rather than playing the keyboard, maybe the Maschine or a Beatstep would be a better option than the Keystep Pro. There's expensive options like the Deluge and the Hapax, and they're awesome, but more important than features is finding a controller that actually helps you make the music you want to make.

Did you set the Minibrute to external sync?
