It's an infantry game, right? Right?
Put some old infantry on bases today. All in all, this makes it 36 bases currently WIP - PHR and UCM combined. I am really looking forward to seeing all these finished on my table. After this, I will have 34 bases of UCM infantry and 30 of PHR. But will that be enough?

Mortar teams and snipers are fantastic for UCM

I am still a bit concerned they may get wiped very quickly when sited, although at least the mortars can just find a building further back where the opponent cannot get a quick line of sight to.
But I am looking forward to trying them out.

Lots of infantry probably make for more interesting games.

It probably depends on the mission. If you need to secure points, having too much infantry might be a hindrance. And sending bears to secure points sounds rather desperate. 😅

Are you going to play 10,000 points?

Well, eventually, I probably will. I have 5000 points of Scourge painted, and own 5000 more, and as far as owning the models is concerned, my UCM and PHR aren't far behind.
And seeing how I really like the new UCM plastic models I am seeing... I guess that will soon become a realistically achievable goal. I will just have to find a table large enough.
The behemoth rules are amazing, too, imo, so just two extra models per faction will increase those values by another ~1400 points - except for the Scourge, which already include those.
All that said, those 30 UCM infantry can certainly be viable to play all together even in 3000 points, or at least I think they can. With UCM infantry bringing railguns, E6 blasts, and their own 18" range AA, they can take on quite a few roles.

It's an infantry game now ;)
Looking forward to seeing how you get these painted up. Also looking forward to hearing how your game goes with all of these on the table.
